This is literally the problem: We NEED to be rude. We need emotion. These fuckers are destroying democracy & hurting people; our elected Democrats *should* be pissed. When they're not, they're essentially gaslighting the rest of us. www.politico.com/news/2025/03...

“We are living in two Americas. What we do now will impact our lives. [Americans] need a grassroots movement that says no to oligarchy.” nebraskaexaminer.com/2025/02/22/o...

As so much coming out of DC feels bleak, there is still a lot of hope out there. Deb Haaland has been crisscrossing New Mexico since she announced for Governor. Crowds and energy everywhere. People want fighters.

Must-watch from @gallego.senate.gov: “You’re claiming you want government efficiency when in fact you want to find money so you can give tax cuts to the rich.”

“We can’t be afraid of failing. I think that’s the biggest mistake I’ve seen Democrats make. We’re always afraid of failing, so we don’t take risks.” www.nytimes.com/2025/02/15/m...

Excited to be joining the fight w/ Tommy McDonald & Julian Mulvey - We've worked on some of the biggest, toughest, most innovative races in the country. We’re launching Fight to help a new generation of candidates meet the moment. If you want to run a different kind of campaign, join the Fight.

This is shaping up to be the City's most interesting race.

We fought for years to make this office a reality and lives were saved because of it. Stay tuned because we’re not giving up on this. Trump might be okay with dissolving a life-saving office but the people aren’t.

Tragic irony: many Americans will first hear about Biden accomplishments only as Trump revokes them.

Cecile Richards was an incredible human, leader, and boss. I was in awe of her talents and inspired by her every day. She taught us that we could do great things at work & also be good moms & friends. She encouraged us to have lives, to travel, to live. I learned so much from her. Gone way too soon.

"The stretch of time between Ruben Gallego showing colleagues on the House floor how to hold pens as weapons to defend themselves against January 6 rioters and taking home the pen he used to sign his oath of office on the Senate floor is 1,458 days. " www.cnn.com/2025/01/04/p...

Universal Pre-K is the best thing to happen to NYC in a long time. It’s a national model that lifts all boats. Every single mayoral candidate should be looking for ways to expand it. apple.news/AjSZ5kEC9Tpy...

Messenger matters - which is why candidate recruitment like what @runforsomething.bsky.social does is so so important.

“If Democrats want to duplicate Gallego’s success, they need candidates voters can easily identify with, and candidates with a nuanced understanding of voters’ concerns.“ www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

"I'm the guy that was a dishwasher, the guy who flipped burgers, the guy who did everything you can think of to make money for my family. I was able to get them to understand I was going to be fighting for them." people.com/ruben-galleg...

We cannot win if voters get their news about Democrats from Republicans. Our party needs to show up everywhere if we want to beat the GOP’s edge and reshape the information environment. That means deploying great communicators to deliver effective messages – everywhere.

“What’s happening in North Carolina is sinister, and it will have a chilling effect on our democracy and our country if they’re able to get away with what they’re trying to achieve.” www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

I feel pretty confident in this: The next Democratic nominee - and the next president - will not be a boomer. Their grasp on power is nearing its end. www.nytimes.com/2024/12/09/u...

How Ruben Gallego Threaded The Needle In Purple Arizona www.huffpost.com/entry/ruben-...

I went on CNN yesterday to talk about Ruben Gallego. Here’s a guy who started his race with no party support and having never run statewide, but managed to outperform the top of the ticket by 8 points in red Arizona.

Where is sports on this app? Until it figures that out, it cannot be great.

“This month, Democrats suffered deep losses up and down the ballot, largely because voters who have long been essential to their coalition defected from the party. “Ruben Gallego found a way to keep them.” www.nytimes.com/2024/11/20/u...

“You could use identity politics to connect, but you’ve got to deliver an economic message at the end. Right now, there’s these two warring camps, and they’re both wrong. You’re going to have to do both.” www.nytimes.com/2024/11/20/u...
