#HandsOff in deep red Sheridan Wyoming!

Wyoming schools are no longer gun free zones. If a staff member asks a member of the public who brings a gun into the school if they have the appropriate training to carry, the STAFF MEMBER can be given a fine and misdemeanor. I want to fucking cry.

A new project thanks to a cool street art lesson by @sarahmackattack.bsky.social!! I'm going to print these on business cards to leave around ✨randomly✨ & will provide the files to anyone who wants to print their own. Before printing, could some folks test the QR for me? It goes to an info page

Shopping for various species of domestic mustelids 🦦 First: THIS IS NOT NORMAL Mink will typically kill ferrets. Nico the Mink was unusual and extremely submissive & sweet, and he also had almost no teeth after multiple dental procedures due to genetic dental issues.

more mustelids… in fact, all of them! at least as far as we know now. science is always updating, just redid the amazon weasel based on new info! there may be more species but they’re currently disputed and have no good photo references to go off of. from early this year #mustelidae #animalart

Mycelium is so hot right now 🧪 #scicomm

Fam I'm a millennial I've been in the work force 27 years (not even counting my first job as a paper delivery kid) I've had both my hips replaced I'm heading into perimenopause WTF do these people think a millennial is?? WTF is even their definition of "adulting"?!?

W𝐡a𝐭'𝐬 𝐭h𝐚t w𝐞a𝐬e𝐥 𝐖e𝐝n𝐞s𝐝a𝐲?! Introducing the 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐲-𝐍𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 (𝑳𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒂)! Unfortunately, few field studies have been carried out on the Hairy-nosed Otter, and so there is little information on their basic ecology and behaviour in the wild. Continue reading: www.otter.org/hairy-nosed-...

Sorryyyy I realized that wasn't cool to do a cute photo with a depressing caption. Here's a real #TimelineCleanse: show me all you pet MLEMS for #TongueOutTuseday!! (Or post a photo of your favorite animal MLEM if you don't have pets!)

::sigh:: Wish I could just spend all day every day chilling with the mink & forget that the government is collapsing & disease outbreaks are everywhere & there is a stupid high ratio of aholes in the world.

Emmy Lemmy Ding-Dong!

Oh no!! River the Mink at our sister sanctuary has another dental abscess & they are seeking $ for her vet fund. They are a 501c3 NPO. River came to me (Mustelid Madness Rescue) after she was illegally sold in AR, and I placed her with RMMR. Their website: rockymountainminkrefuge.com/support-us/

Size comparison between domestic mink and domestic ferret. The ferret is a neutered male from Marshall Ferret bloodlines (3-4lbs). The mink is an intact male from Utah fur farm lines (5-6lbs). *𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹, 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘁. 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗸.
