New @CookPolitical: over 154M votes now counted, Trump's popular vote lead down to 1.65%: www.cookpolitical.com/v… Trump 76,831,007 (49.89%) Harris 74,296,538 (48.24%)

Newly tabulated provisional ballots in Cuyahoga, Hamilton and Franklin counties (OH) slightly narrow Trump's popular vote lead. Today's additions: Harris 27,316 Trump 14,384 Nationally, Trump leads by 2,538,509 votes (1.65%).

The 2022 DeSantis gerrymander - which locked in a 20R-8D split in House seats - actually looks like it protected Dems from steeper losses this year, given how far right Florida's electorate has veered.

Newly tabulated ballots in California slightly narrow Trump's popular vote lead. Today's additions: Harris 89,661 Trump 65,888 Nationally, Trump leads by 2,538,379 votes (1.65%).

Newly tabulated ballots in suburban Cook County, IL slightly narrow Trump's popular vote lead. Added to tallies: Harris 11,142 Trump 2,481

There is now a very real possibility of a 220R-215D House breakdown (net +2 for Dems vs. '22 result), w/ Trump seeking to pluck at least three GOP members (Gaetz, Stefanik, Waltz) for administration jobs (217R-215D?).

Breaking: newly tabulated Merced Co. ballots cut #CA13 Rep. John Duarte's (R) lead from 1,564 votes to just *227* votes. This is going down to the wire, and an Adam Gray (D) win would cost the GOP another House seat.

New Stanislaus Co. ballots just tabulated in #CA13: Gray (D) 5,101 Duarte (R) 4,384 Gray nets 717 votes, and trails Duarte by 1,564 votes. Now it pretty much all comes down to Merced...

RT @NateSilver538:

To the many who have asked why I'm continuing to track the vote even w/ Election Day weeks in the rearview mirror: 1) it's what we've done every cycle regardless of the outcome 2) every vote matters and helps tell the story of what happened in 2024.

Newly tabulated mail/provisional ballots in St. Clair & Will counties (IL) slightly narrow Trump's popular vote lead. Added to tallies: Harris 14,837 Trump 8,627 Nationally, Trump leads by 2,566,640 votes (1.67%).

New @CookPolitical: over 153.5M now counted, Trump's popular vote lead down to 1.68%: www.cookpolitical.com/v… Trump 76,666,332 (49.93%) Harris 74,086,596 (48.25%)

Newly tabulated absentee/provisional ballots in Hinds Co., MS (Jackson) slightly narrow Trump's popular vote lead. Added to tallies: Harris 8,887 Trump 4,233 Nationally, Trump leads by 2,572,666 votes (1.68%).

It’s looking like Alaska’s RCV might live to fight another day after all.

Newly tabulated ballots in California slightly narrow Trump's popular vote lead. Today's additions: Harris 57,598 Trump 45,761 Nationally, Trump leads by 2,584,711 votes (1.68%).

Derek Tran (D) extends lead over #CA45 Rep. Michelle Steel (R) to triple digits. The likeliest scenario now appears to be CA’s two uncalled House races splitting between the parties.

A poor split out of Fresno Co. today for Adam Gray (D), making #CA13 Rep. John Duarte (R) the favorite to keep his seat.

Newly tabulated ballots in Indiana slightly expand Trump's popular vote lead. Today's additions: Trump 5,283 Harris 3,456 Nationally, Trump leads by 2,599,537 votes (1.70%).

Newly tabulated ballots in Florida (now certified) slightly narrow Trump's popular vote lead. Today's additions: Harris 2,142 Trump 561 Nationally, Trump leads by 2,608,648 votes (1.70%).

Biggest swings towards Trump, by state (corrected from an earlier post): 1. New York 11.5% 2. New Jersey 10.1% 3. Florida 9.8% 4. Massachusetts 8.7% 5. California 8.4% 6. Texas 8.3% 7. Mississippi 7.7% 8. Rhode Island 7.0% 9. Tennessee 6.5% 10. Illinois 6.4%

Newly tabulated ballots in New Jersey slightly narrow Trump's popular vote lead. Today's additions: Harris 39,550 Trump 25,099 Trump leads by 2,613,855 votes (1.70%).

Fact: Trump won 74% of counties w/ a Cracker Barrel and 22% of counties with a Whole Foods. But he's the first winner in over three decades to *narrow* the gap: in 2020, Biden carried 85% of WF counties and 31% of CB counties.

Smallest swings towards Trump, by state (w/ several million ballots still to be tabulated): 1. Washington 0.7% 2. District of Columbia 1.0% 3. Utah 1.0% 4. Oklahoma 1.2% 5. Wisconsin 1.5% 6. Kansas 1.5% 7. Nebraska 1.8% 8. North Carolina 1.9% 9. Oregon 1.9% 10. Maine 2.3%

Biggest swings towards Trump, by state (w/ several million ballots still to be tabulated): 1. New York 11.5% 2. New Jersey 10.2% 3. Florida 9.8% 4. Massachusetts 8.7% 5. California 8.4% 6. Texas 8.3% 7. Mississippi 7.7% 8. Wyoming 7.3% 9. Rhode Island 7.0% 10. Tennessee 6.5%

Newly tabulated ballots in Utah slightly expand Trump's popular vote lead. Today's additions: Trump 2,546 Harris 1,367 Trump leads by 2,626,618 million votes (1.72%).

Three things can be true at once. The millions of votes being tabulated post-11/5: 1) Were just as validly cast as those counted on Election Night 2) Won't materially alter the presidential outcome 3) Highlight how underfunded/inefficient many state/local election regimes are

As per usual, many of the initial claims of plunges in urban Dem turnout (i.e. "20% down in Chicago") are proving premature; many major cities simply had (and still have) a ton of ballots left to count.

Newly counted ballots in Chicago, IL continue to shrink Trump's popular vote lead. Today's additions: Harris 21,028 Trump 2,550

It seemed like only a matter of time, but Derek Tran (D) just took the lead over #CA45 Rep. Michelle Steel (R), by 36 votes.

New @CookPolitical: over 153M votes now counted, Trump's popular vote lead down to 1.7%. www.cookpolitical.com/v…

New @CookPolitical: Trump has fallen below 50% of the popular vote. With 152.7M votes counted, he leads Harris 49.99%-48.22%. www.cookpolitical.com/v…

Very slight boost for #CA13 Rep. John Duarte (R) from Madera Co. Still going to be close.

New @CookPolitical: over 152M votes now counted, Trump's popular vote lead down to 1.9%. www.cookpolitical.com/v…

Better news tonight for Adam Gray (D) in Stanislaus Co. #CA13 going down to the wire w/ Rep. John Duarte (R) lead cut to 1,764 votes (1.0%).

This isn't as favorable a split as Gray (D) was hoping for out of Merced. He'll need stronger numbers out of the remaining Merced/Stanislaus ballots to overtake #CA13 Rep. John Duarte (R).
