I lowkey think the tik tok ban in the states is going to be great for Canadian creators on the app. And kinda think I should invest more into it.

The folk hero status of Luigi Mangione entertains me so much

This is gross.

I think sometimes, as an artist, we get caught up on wanting to move people and stir emotions; while forgetting that joy is an emotion. It doesn't always have to be thought provoking or an emotional exercise. The piece could simply be made to make someone smile.

I want to live a life of joy and excitement. That is why I want to create art; I live for the process, and I want to create work that move people. Pieces that people think are beautiful.

I'm tired of struggling

Finished up my new mousie piece! "Little Thief"

It's appalling when local artisanal craft markets and fairs allow MLMs to join and push their products and recruiting next to genuine artists and small businesses. #antimlm #mlm #supportlocal

sometimes your art is literally fine, you’ve just been staring at it for too long

Me as an artist: *Paints cute mousies eating bread* Me as a DM: "The smell of rot lingers in the heavy, humid air. You can't help furling your nose in reaction to entering the room. There is viscous red and yellow fluids smeared across the walls, and in front of you is a body flayed and torn apart"

"Frolicking Fall" I am a little obsessed with painting little mousies. #art #oilpainting #artsky #artistsofbluesky #animalart #mouse

Tech bros be like "iNnOvAtIoN iS tHe FuTuRe"

What I'm painting today! #art #oilpainting #mouse #animalart #artsky

I got the best hat today

just found out about art damn that shit sucks

I still love this piece I did a couple months ago. And yes, I realized after finishing I low key accidentally painted Yzma. #art #painting #oilpainting #artsky

Y'know what? If you want to call yourself an artist, call yourself an artist. There will always be people who will try to beat you down for living your life the way you want. Ignore them and be who you are.

Emerging artists: how do you deal with the anxiety and uncertainty of growing? Working a full time job while also building a business is difficult, and there is always the intrusive thoughts of "Am I even good enough?" How do you chill?

Being an artist in a corporate world is so hard :c

Look at my boy's plates. They're so pretty

Day two of working on this piece. I really wanted to get out of my comfort zone and use very bright vivid colours and try to just let creativity take the wheel. What do you think so far? I think it's going somewhere. #art #wip #workinprogress #artsky

The way this would absolutely trap my entire party

A woman came up to me while I was on the street and asked if I wanted a sandwich. My awkward ass replied "I'm not homeless, thanks." She was just trying to give away left over catered food 🥲

I think one of the largest struggles artists have is being confident in their art. Art feels so personal, and it's really hard to separate the finished piece from your own value. Especially when you know in order to make it as an artist you also have to convince others your art is worth it.

A wealthy patron is the sugar daddy every artist wants.

Trying to become a full time artist while working 9 to 5 is wild. Sunday you spend the entire day painting and loving life until 2am and then monday hits and a mid morning labotamy looks real nice

It's DnD night and as a DM I almost want to apologize to my players for what is about to happen 😬

Today I am going to experiment with sublimation ink and transfer original artworks onto coasters. I hope they turn out cute! It's really intimidating as an oil painter to be branching out to such a different medium and product.

Hey look what I made. They're dumb and I love them. #art #pets #garbageart #cuteanimals #artistsofbluesky
