It’s so easy to be an artist. You just do it. That, of course, is why it’s so hard to be an artist. You just have to do it. People despise how artistic courage highlights their own cowardice. Thus, crave the art, despise the artist. my random thoughts on it, better said by all the ppl in history

Song of the Bull Rider is the first book I read in over a year, and I am so, so glad I managed to get my hands on a copy. The prose is so tight, and neither shies away nor revels in the brutality of the world order Kanan is born into. (The art is, of course, also gorgeous) Highly recommend!

i advise often it's a lot easier to address and course correct in your process when you assume the problem is never you, it's the canvas. like, never assume something is coming out undesirably because you can't draw or don't know X or whatever. Always assume 'what's missing, what am I not seeing'
