The family of one of my very distant relatives (Martin Joyce Sr, 1850-1890) seems to have become one of the wealthiest (and politically corrupt) citizens of Pittsburgh, PA. Yet, there seems to be no evidence of the family's existence remaining there. Perhaps because he was not much loved.
