Reminder that for my bday coming up, I’m asking people to donate to my Venmo: Sudip-Bhattacharya 🙏🏽 even $5 goes a long way! 🙌🏽

This is already one of my favorite books of ALL TIME!!! It’s such a simple story of Palestinians, including Palestinian Londoners who are trying to stage a play of Hamlet in Israel and the West Bank. But the writing is just exceptional, it made me jealous! 🇵🇸

We’ve reached the natural progression of capitalism and colonialism in the U.S. An Afrikaner billionaire now runs the country.

Alice Weidel, leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany party, said she received a call from Elon Musk congratulating the party after it finished second in national elections, by far the best showing in its history.

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source. Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

The leader of AfD is queer and has a brown wife so I’m happy 🙌🏽 representation wins the day! Proving anyone can be wrong on everything! Hooray!

With my bday coming up, please consider donating to my Venmo: Sudip-Bhattacharya 💪🏽 even $5 goes a long way 🙌🏽

With my birthday coming up in March, and this past year having been difficult, am beginning to gather funds and support now. Even $5 to my Venmo: Sudip-Bhattacharya goes a long way in helping pay for books etc. 👍🏽

I was interviewed for this article talking about the state of South Asian American politics in NJ 🙌🏽 centraldesi.beehiiv.com/p/are-south-...

It’s hard not to feel emotional learning about all the hardships and sacrifices that so many revolutionaries had made. I’m reading now about the final days of Malcolm X, how he’d been poisoned, attacked, finally murdered. And to his last breath, how much he loved his people 🙏🏽

I don’t think enough people know this but Stalin won WW2 against the Nazis with a hunger strike 🙏🏽

One of the guys illegally messing with America's most sensitive information hates Indians; I won't repeat his language. This is a reminder of the virulence of anti-Asian racism among America's far-right. www.npr.org/2025/02/06/n...

There’s a special kind of person of color who’d go on and on and on about how racist someone like Bernie Sanders is. And then support Kamala Harris and previously Biden, supporters of a genocide, and one with a long history of fighting desegregation.

This is what convinced me they’re going to intentionally crash the economy. They said it out loud several times.

Being woke is good 👍🏽

It’s necessary to condemn the Dems as they attempt co-opting of legitimate anger. However, the left has to do more than just critique one party or the other. For ex., let’s talk about how the free market is the problem. And how we need govt institutions to provide what ppl need.

SCOOP: The email Andrew Kloster, the Office of Personnel Management’s new general counsel and self described "raging misogynist," used to sign up for his X/Twitter account appears in a leak for an escort service website. The IP address for the escort service website account is in Washington D.C.

Happy belated Chinese New Year 🧧

Rewriting my dissertation final time 👍🏽 major conclusion: to better address the oppression for most people of color and the possibility of coalitions between african Americans, Asians, Latinx, the study of political economy is necessary. Simply, yes, economic conditions matter.

My latest @NatCounterPunch distilling Marxist ideas of fascism, and of totalitarianism. Which are far more useful to us than liberal or conservative theories. And, capitalism is itself the force of disorder and chaos. Communism=order & peace www.counterpunch.org/2025/01/24/c...

Oh my god, Succession is so boring…

The issue isn’t “broligarchy.” Or a wrong kind of billionaire. It’s deeper than that and in ways, it’s not fascism per se but what’s been normal for decades. I explore this @NatCounterPunch pushing back against “resistance” analysis that serves to obscure www.counterpunch.org/2025/01/24/c...

For the record: HBCUs are not DEI. But none of that seems to matter. Obeying in advance.

Pure barbarism. www.cnn.com/2025/01/24/p...

If you are a Rhode Islander please call or email Sen. Whitehouse & express your view that if he throws the country into a healthcare death spiral because his college roommate is the quack who wants to kill us, you will not return him to his seat. www.whitehouse.senate.gov/contact/

Read my latest @NatCounterPunch dissecting how our over emphasis on fascism can actually lead us astray from an accurate analysis of what it is we’re actually faced with in terms of “normal” times and oppression www.counterpunch.org/2025/01/24/c...

the fascism debate is frustrating. So I wrote something explaining the moment we’re in clearer. Consider this a pushback against people who think oppression only exists under fascism or Musk is only awful as an individual www.counterpunch.org/2025/01/24/c...

If you why to support the writing that I do, donate to my Venmo: Sudip-Bhattacharya 📚✍🏾 even $5 goes a long way for books, etc.

As doctors and nurses, it is our moral duty to care for every person who walks through the door & needs medical help. Allowing ICE to raid hospitals & clinics is immoral and will lead to needless suffering & death. Reading this made me cry...what nation have we become? #medsky

The only response to all of this is to have a bold agenda. Yes, defend immigrants as best we can. But also fight for the dismantling of ICE. Yes, fight for unions to form, but also demand no more capitalist “free market.” Universal housing, food, jobs, healthcare instead.

The attacks on “DEI” is more than ending corporate bs around ideas of inclusion. These attacks, as others have said, is about curbing very basic civil and political rights for our communities. It’s about shaping the public space to fit a white supremacist American exceptionalism.

My latest @NatCounterPunch about the real legacy of King www.counterpunch.org/2025/01/20/k...

It’s still surreal to have my work featured in both of these books! 📚🙌🏽

Black, Asian, Latinx “entrepreneurship”, business ownership (larger or small), will never ever produce real freedom or equity or justice or anything positive on a mass level. It’s a scheme for some just to get rich over the rest of us.

New Marist poll: Trump starts with a net-negative favorability rating, 44% favorable, 49% unfavorable. This destroys the idea Trump has a mandate. Wish Democratic leaders would see these polls and realize Trump is not popular. Stop talking common ground and start fighting!

Am not a huge fan of the phrase “we take care of us.” Cause we already do that, because we can’t trust institutions to work in our interest. And guess what? That creates burnout and sadness. It’s libertarian misdirection. We need more govt. institutions that can help us, not less.

A formidable form of socialism is about balancing between socialism as good governance and socialism with a far more revolutionary horizon for all.

Journalist Anas Al-Sharif removes his helmet and announces a ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel. His voice steady as his fellow Palestinians lift him into the air in celebration. For 15 months, the Al-Jazeera correspondent has reported on the genocide of his people in Gaza.

Glad about the ceasefire. But our next steps are to push for Palestinian statehood, an end to apartheid, and for men like Biden, and Bush to be tried for war crimes at The Hague. And of course, let us lift up the names of all those Palestinians who’ve died. Honor them.

So the book from Iskra that includes an essay of mine was just officially released today. You can get a free copy from the website 📚✍🏾🙌🏽 www.iskrabooks.org/hampton-reader

Woke? More like nope! Amirite? Also, I have no clue what woke means. I’m just a guy always angry at any sign of progress and interpret that sign of progress as an attack on my own falling standard of living rather than seek out more info informing me of course that wokeism is 👍🏽

Please support the writing I do by donating to my Venmo: Sudip-Bhattacharya 📚✍🏾 even $5 helps 👍🏽

Yoooo! Great news! I’m now on the editorial board for DSA excited to work with some amazing comrades 📚✍🏾🙌🏽
