youtu.be/K8QLgLfqh6s I love it when the grown-ups are talking!

Isn’t it time “we the people” take action? We have unions that could call for a strike all at the same time and basically bring so many sectors to a screeching halt, no? Air traffic. Bus and rail. Manufacturing. All of them. A national “walkout.”

Just for today, I will try to let go of need for control, become aware of when I need help, ask for help when I need it. I give myself permission to cry when I’m sad, scream when frustrated, smile and laugh when happy, and dance like I’ve got wings when the Spirit moves me. ~Chanequa Walker-Barnes

At least for a day. You know, to remember life is for living. The news will still be there. It’s okay to laugh, or sing, or dance, or whatever brings you joy in the midst of this shit-show.

Just enough to get by in case I need to flee!

@pattyrumpza.bsky.social Hi Patty!

youtu.be/31ylIPemGlE As an ordained CSL minister and an Interfaith Chaplain, I have much respect for this Bishop and her impassioned plea which, as you’ll see at the very end, fell on deaf ears.

Who wore it better?

Jan 20, 1961. A blizzard the day before. Temperatures well below freezing. Without a coat or hat, JFK gave a speech we still quote today. Robert Frost, 86, recited a poem. Steinbeck and Hemingway and Rothko were among the VIPs. A million people gathered in the cold to hear it. This is the precedent.

¡Bienvenidos amigos, y muchas gracias!

Anyone tried this?

“Courage, honor, and grace.” I may not always be that, but I always strive for that.

Here’s a dog, Cara, in a tiny winter hat. I hope it makes you smile.

A bit of beauty from the Berkeley Marina a few weeks ago.
