Thanks to newspapers.com, I've found this lovely account detailing the wedding of Jeannie [Jennie] Wren, my ggm's sister, in 1909. She was from Glasgow, and travelled to Canada to marry & settle. Her family couldn't be there, but her husband and his family made it beautiful for her. ❤️ #genealogy

I'm so grateful for digitisation at the UK GRO. Just now I ran a search for an ancestor's death cert, with a likely but not certain date. Two minutes and £3 later, I have an image of the certificate and the evidence I needed to confirm it's him, + proof I'm on the right line. Yay! 🤩 #genealogy

Yes, Mr Mechanic, I know there is a permanently lit 'oil' light on my dashboard. It's been there 5 years, & through multiple MOTs when nobody ever noticed it. If the only way I can get rid of the bloody thing is to pay £350 for a service just to get a man to turn it off, it can stay lit. 🙄
