Why can’t YouTube give us richer search function. What if I just want to exclude shorts

Gonna do some iteration on my writing process, and am making a little video series about it. Writers who wanna refine their process—wanna do it together? #writingcommunity youtu.be/T0qw_-0_S_k?...

Finished reading The Dangers Of Smoking In Bed! Anyone else read it and want to talk? I have thoughts. 📚💙

Ughhhh spouse followed my YouTube channel now I’ll be too mortified to ever post again ahhhhh

CW: discussion of cancer There’s a saying that cancer is like a marathon. You take it moment by moment, step by step, instead of focusing on the finish line. I think this metaphor isn’t quite right. Cancer isn’t a race. Life is the race. You’re running on a smooth road and then there’s an +

Tfw you’re on your way to work and realize your scrubs match your book cover 📚💙

Today I’m celebrating that my preferred ao3 tag filter search results to total over 14,000 🎉🥳🎊🍾 And what those filters are the world will never know

Ahhh A little newbie tag for booktube 📚💙 Swing by and say hello! youtu.be/SFW3KckVODs

Fun experience yesterday where I was wearing a beanie at work and a patient asked me “now what do you call that?” thinking it was a religious hair covering but nope it’s just a hat

Absolutely not ahahaha Spooky season never ends. And neither does romance season

SPOUSE LOVED IT AND GOT SUPER CHOKED UP

Wild that autocorrect will correct all my five dollar words into whatever it wants but thinks that I mean to say “berceuse” when I type “because”. On the bright side I learned that a berceuse is a lullaby, so there’s that

It’s not perfect but it’s not bad for a first try!!!

Pardon the horrible lighting and the pressed-but-not-washed appearance of the shirt but I think this design turned out so cute????

Stars or no stars for the cover?

Every year I make shirts for the family (mine and my sister in law’s) but last year I ran out of time to make them. They’re coming down this weekend so I’m making the shirts, finally. Here is the design: (Context: we yell “no shrimping” at each other when we see bad posture) They’ll love it, right?

Another update today Wins: -cutting the chipboard for the covers -cutting the end papers fucking finally -attaching the endpapers, headbands and bookmark to the text block -setting up the chipboard on a temporary paper cover Fails: -spouse saw me working on it and asked what I was doing.

💙📚 Book people PLEASE use alt-text! I beg! It's easy to turn on a reminder in your settings that will remind you to add it before you post. Be inclusive, be a good human, please?

Don't beat yourself up about how long you've been away from your writing practice. The important thing is to go back. Tonight, why not read the last pages you wrote?

Malapropism. A funny misuse of a word that sounds like the target word. From The Poisonwood Bible: “Maybe he's been in Africa so long he has forgotten that we Christians have our own system of marriage, and it is called Monotony.” LIKE????? Is that not the best malapropism you’ve ever read????

Was supposed to film and post something today but I was very sick all week so I did neither of those things So here is a video I posted this last week. For 📚💙 A Belated December Reading Wrap-up and January/2025 Reading Plans video (with a cat) youtu.be/-Ej5a-DuLL4

Can someone explain to me how to layer sweaters with collared shirts in a way that isn’t sensory hell

Just finished reading DIY MFA. Has anyone in the #writingcommunity read it? Wanna talk?

“Rebinding a book into hardcover for my sweetie’s bday” update: Fails: -Gilding page edges, bc I can’t read (“htv foil” =/= “htv”) -Preserving the original cover to make a bookmark Wins: -Made a ribbon bookmark that goes into the binding -Painted the edges, looks p cool -Made headbands

Now at the story that this book is titled for and honestly, I'm so glad that I started this. It's been a balm to my tired soul. 💙📚

Just had the loveliest conversation with @trucherrygirl.bsky.social tonight to help me work through some disability rep concerns I had for my novel project! If you need a sensitivity reader or someone to talk through story concerns with, she is incredible!

I wish that it was more commonly understood that "being an Artist" involves dozens of non-art activities that demand entirely different skills and mindsets than the actual craftsmanship itself. Marketing and social media outreach and networking are an entirely different set of skills to learn
