This seems useful. Protect your neighbors.

ProPublica is one of very few news sources I trust. I read everything a bit suspiciously, regardless of politics, but ProPublica has been passing the sniff test really well, just providing quality journalism.

Infinitely superior to trolls.

Post a banger that's not in English: youtu.be/nqF3zctHjs0?... (Half of what I listen to isn't in English these days, so I was compelled to weigh in)

I probably can't make this one myself, but Oregonians, we need to put more pressure on our state representatives. They're awfully complacent (or cowardly).

My full support to all Israelis standing up in protest of their government's foul atrocities. These people number among the many heroes fighting to save Gaza.

In a training with Pramila Jayapal right now. New term from someone's breakout group: Billionaire Boondoggle Bill Better name for the big bogus bill.

Spread the word to people with Republican representation in Congress. Some of them will be able to be influenced because of internal divides in the party. Call your red representatives, and use Republican language to tell them why you want them to resist this.

I always feel a little safer, and a little more ok when allies and organizations post in support of trans rights, but it's true that all injustice and all freedom is tied together. We need to spread the message further that privilege is so much worse than fairness. Everyone loses in a rigged game.

@ben-flash-amos.bsky.social This video? Cats of Yore is one of the best cat accounts. She offers recommendations too, for other cat accounts that also use alt text, avoid AI and give proper credit for images.

Powerful stuff. Jeanette Vizguerra has been a hero in the sanctuary movement for a long time. I'm not happy to hear that she's in an ICE jail now, but I'm not surprised given her history of peaceful resistance. I'll be keeping an eye out for ways to support her.

I've heard George Takei speak about his Japanese Internment Camp experience before, but this was still worth a read. We don't have many living memories left of this tragic and grossly unjust history. Each piece of lived wisdom is precious.

This seems like a bit of petty racism likely to be overlooked in a sea of writhing racist chaos, but it ticks me off. Like our service members don't deal with enough already. youtu.be/p3hjOsy-Qd8?...

I got homemade cookies, home-infused cooking oil, blackberry cider, and a puzzle game for my birthday yesterday. If you haven't played Baba Is You yet, highly recommended so far. It was a gentle and recuperative birthday. I went to bed in a peaceful and contented mood.

Exciting thread. This first image is gorgeous, and there's a gorgeous second image too.

These requests seem very reasonable under the difficult circumstances in Gaza. I added my name.

Estate Sale Survival Guide, Lesson 13: Which of these dolls is haunted?

My brother who passed last fall had a birthday last Sunday. My whole life, his birthday and mine have been one week apart. This is the first year without him around. I expected last weekend to be rough, and braced myself, but I should've known this weekend would be hard too.

To those who think that continuing to engage with Harry Potter isn't *directly funding attacks on trans people*, here you go.

Sam's good news always restores my sanity. I'm especially excited about the biodegradable batteries and the survey data about how much people care about the planet! youtu.be/Vl5yiSUg7_U?...

I don't want ICE entering anywhere, but this is a useful start.

Some people were posting eyes, so I took this picture. Didn't feel like adding it to a larger thread, but I'll post it.
