In fun news, Monty the Giant Schnauzer won Westminster yesterday. Topps Allen & Ginger cards from 2024 have a Westminster insert and Monty has one. Makes me glad we got our GS BEFORE a popularity surge. Anyway, time to collect his card.

One thing that was weirdly great about the height of the pandemic times was when it got cold like this, the masks would keep my lungs warm. When it's cold, I basically have mini asthma attacks. ONLY when it's cold! So as it's stuck around 30°F the past week, I coughed so hard I pulled a muscle.

Just finished DEXTER for the first time. I had previously made it through the end of Season 6, I discovered. Season 7 was a wreck. Holy shit, Season 8 was just hot garbage. I wasn't sure if people were being too mean about the final season (See: Battlestar Galactica). Nope, they weren't. So bad.

Saw that Amanda Palmer is being named in the suit against Gaiman. As much as it bums me out that Gaiman is a horrendous POS, I always had bad vibes from Palmer. She has always had the “my feminism is good for only me and not for those other women,” type of outlook. I need to keep trusting my gut.

In the metal world, it was really fun to see both Spiritbox and Poppy (when she was featured with Knocked Loose) being nominated for Grammys. It'd be tough beating out Gojira's amazing performance at the beginning of Olympics, though. But I'll take any year that "best metal" isn't just Metallica.
