There are two versions of this speech - the popular, portrayed below, is more inaccurate, which is like a caricature and erases her true voice. Understanding both versions is important to give Sojourner Truth her due respect. www.thesojournertruthproject.com

Science will be deeply impacted by this for years to come. The US will no longer be a leader in so many fields. I am so sad and incredibly angry.

Especially with chocolate 😋 or, just chocolate

Another for #showmeyourknits lace week - a lace jacket I made for our wedding! It's from Vogue Knitting, Early Fall 2012, made in Fyberspates Scrumptious Lace in midnight. I have only one good photo from our wedding, but you can't see all of it 😭 it was too humid for comfort!

For #showmeyourknits lace week, the Echo Flower Shawl was my favorite lace knit! It's Malabrigo lace in apricot. I have only old pics bc sadly, my old dog nicked it off my dresser and chewed on the bottom corner a few years ago, so it's been in time out until I have an idea of how to fix it.

It's no fun to shovel, but it sure is pretty! Hardy hasn't felt like doing his Tokyo drift through the snow, but he has tried to challenge the shovel a few times 🤣

Ummm, we were only supposed to get 5-8"? Hahahahahaha Backyard is measuring 17.5" on my 30" T-sq, and it's still coming down hard!

Oh yeah! WFH and snow day tomorrow! Wooooooo... think I'm going to stay up and knit a while longer now because no fixed alarm tomorrow (except the cats - no escaping that wake-up call).

#throwbackthursday - Big League attacks the TV screensaver!

Can't wait! Until I have to attempt that damn snowblower again 😅

Excellent article that explains promising research for brain injury!

Whenever we leave the Hardy in the bedroom, he always digs in the linens like he's nesting... the bed will be fully unmade and all over the place. Sometimes we've asked each other if we remembered making the bed. Well, today, I finally figured out why. 👇

I'm working on my own version of the popular skinny scarves. I really like embossed ribbing because it has a fun texture on one side and the other is such pretty ribbing. This yarn is some MCN fingering from Huck & Rae Fibers - very squish. Maybe I'll write it up as a pattern... #knitsky #craftsky

Happy #whiskerwednesday for Big League's close-up! I found small whiskers on each side of the bridge of his nose. Can you see them here? It is really hard to photograph! I've never had a cat with these before, and my friends checked their cats with no success. Have you ever seen this before?

Fk it, I'm having ice cream for dinner.

🚨COLORADO:: House committee is voting to CUT THE PAY OF TIP-RELIANT SERVICE WORKERS Public Committee Hearing on HB25-1208 Colorado State Capitol, HCR 0112 or via Zoom THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20th at 1:30 pm MT to testify: actionnetwork.org/forms/sign-u...

Contemplating applying for work in Canada after graduation because it's unlikely my research will be funded in the next few years. 😕

I can’t remember where I read this, but it’s important: Why is it that when people think about traveling to the past, they worry about doing something small that will drastically change the present, but no one in the present thinks that doing something small today can drastically change the future?
