My 103 yo Aunt died today It was expected, but, all the same... Her husband was 19 yo, when he was captured at Arnhem. She & anther woman, were rescued from Berlin, when the Nazi's counterattacked, during the final stages of the war. They were window shopping My mother's sister was 1 hell of a girl!

I'm watching a pair of young Americans, travelling at 4 mph, on a canal boat, between England and Wales, through tunnels and over viaducts, hundreds of feet in the air and actually enjoying the experience. Got to love 'em!

In my seventies. Listening to music of my youth. I'm realising the closeness of America and the UK was, partly, due to music. Initially, popular music came from the US. Eventually, the UK caught on and home grown groups arose. One of our great songwriters was shot by an American. RIP J Lennon!
