These sad looking characters are part of a campaign group that raised £55k to oppose a greenway providing a safe route for people on bikes. Reading an article on the case it seems the real issue their village has is cars, some parked on the narrow lane, others rat running to avoid an M11 junction

“According to the statisticians at OPTA, Salah competed in eight duels and won only one. Bassey, by contrast, won six of his eight duels” He’s been great recently but Calvin was immense yesterday #FFC

Two classic ‘being the first’ from Sess yesterday during #FULLIV Firstly the speed of his reaction for the goal and then how quickly he gets to Muniz to celebrate. Our boy is well and truly back! #FFC

Really #FFC?

Reading the intro from @cyclinguk.bsky.social mag editor Dan Joyce makes me think back to the early days of skiing when traditionalists couldn’t understand Wengen’s Downhill Only Club who used the mountain railway to climb the hill. Like DHO skiers some of us don’t want to ‘pedal a little harder’

I don’t wish to alarm anyone but if you draw glasses on Masaccio’s Virgin and Child it’s Michael Caine holding a tiny Chris Evans being serenaded by the Proclaimers

GAME CHANGERS

Donald is doing an amazing job with the US economy

Rare for me to agree with the views of letter writers to The Telegraph, but I wholeheartedly endorse Frances’s view

Today we are having a fundraising day in the village to raise money for Alexander Armstrong. This popular & much loved millionaire TV presenter has gone from ‘Pointless’ to Poundless. See what I did there? This man truly is a modern day Zelensky. A sort of poor Michael Fabricant.😔

This hedge was flailed over a week ago but there is still detritus likely to puncture car and bike tyres. Presumably it’s economic reasons for the farmers which means the cutting is so infrequent that the waste is so thick? No thought to the external costs to drivers and cyclists

Now we go live to Reform UK headquarters.
