“You light up a room and then like, shit on everything inside it.” I found this really funny and really moving. Earnest in both regards. Eisenberg and Culkin both give great performances that play to their strengths but also challenge them in unique ways. Terrific screenplay.

don’t meet your heros. i finally saw the critters from redwall irl and they don’t even talk. they’re just pissing and shitting everywhere.

This was cute. Had a good time. I enjoy Pete Davidson. Kids loved it which holds more weight than anything else.

Now watching: Dog Man (2025) Dir. Peter Hastings w/wife and kids. Gave the kids the choice between this and The Monkey. Daughter (3) said The Monkey so then I had to walk back the joke and explain why we’re watching Dog Man and why it’s the only real option. Lesson learned.

Fucking gross. I don’t know what it’s going to take for men to learn to keep their hands to themselves. He literally directed a movie about a moral failings of a man who can’t keep his hands to himself. deadline.com/2025/02/trum...

While I do understand the desire for Peter to be a solo spider-hero for longer, the pushback against Ghost Spider in some circles is interesting because there’s a generation, like my kids, who have only ever known Peter, Miles and Gwen being equals. That’s their lore. (1/2)

Bezos asked “fans” on Instagram who should play the next James Bond and…Barbara, please. Come back.

Oh god no. Get ready for a bunch of diluted spin-offs and streaming shows.

They are locking us in.

Stan + Strong are really good. 👍🏾cinematography from Kasper Tuxen. But, this doesn’t say anything we don’t know. Glimpses in 3rd act that lean into the abject horror of this monstrous creation. But he’s not interesting enough on his own without some experimental filmic factor. Made me kinda ill tbh.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man really blew away my expectations for the show. What a great take on Spider-Man and a clever reinvention on so many of his relationships. Great set-up for season 2 as well. I’m a fan. #YourFriendlyNeighborhoodSpiderMan

Finished the inks on my tribute sketch for the late, great David Lynch this morning.

Ah-ha. What’s he doing now?

Check it out 👇 Richard Newby was the author of one of our #MutantBookClub selections 🥰 and Mr. Crocket is brilliant - Freddy Krueger disguised as Mister Rogers. Release the physical media! #MutantFam #TheLastDriveIn #horrorsky #booksky

Great conversation! Give it a listen! And watch Mr. Crocket on Hulu if you haven’t already.

“What are you thinking, Edward?” Dug this a lot. Stan + Pearson are great. Was struck by the tone. It’s not similar in content or theme at all but closest comp I felt was American Psycho where it’s amusing watching someone juggle razor blades, until you see blood on the floor and it’s gone too far.

This cover is stunning. I’m honored to have had the opportunity to write about David Lynch’s Lost Highway, and interview Ryan Coogler for Sinners. It’s always such a thrill to share this space with so many incredible artists and writers. Coming to you fine folks soon!

Sometimes I wonder where’d we be if that McDonalds employee had kept their mouth shut.

Man, this is an excellent analysis. Very much worth a read!

I'll read this after I watch the movie tomorrow.... but yeah, this is why Richard and I are friends. He says it how it is while still taking in everything through a far more fair and balanced perspective than most other folks. People do project far too much onto fiction in general, but especially-
