Got a few of these bugleweed popping up around the garden / pond area – real contrast to the green which is a nice surprise. We were fortunate that the previous owners loved #gardening and we now have a lot of established perennials that appear at different times of the year.

You really don't need much to start your own plants off. A sunny windowsill, some soft fruit containers (these are from supermarket grapes) and some seed starting compost (fine compost with no additional fertiliser). Add compost, soak, sow seeds and cover with cling film. Then wait. #gardening

Accidental clematis (growing through fence from neighbour's garden) and self-seeding forget me nots. I'll take some cuttings from the clematis for next year so I can have more of them in other parts of the garden. #gardening

Was determined to grow my own lupins last year and pleased to say that this is how they turned out – a whole lupin family corner. Planted into soil last autumn / late summer. Disappeared almost entirely over winter and now here they are, ready for 2025. I'll post pics when they flower. #gardening
