My experience- unless you’re on one of a tiny subset of popular titles, royalties are a mirage. They exist, but they’re so paltry and unpredictable as to be irrelevant to your monthly budget. Big 2 et al have spent considerable time and ingenuity guaranteeing the Image thing never happens again.

Death in the Family/Robin Lives! is out in paperback. Not mentioned on the cover, but in addition to JM DeMatteis’ and my 4-parter, you also get reprinted Starlin and Aparo’s Batman 426-429. BUT- it’s the version in which (contrary to the infamous vote) Robin survives. Happy ending? Not so fast..

First time around, 9 days after his inauguration, we had 1 KIA, 3 WIA, 50ish civilians and a few AQ killed, and one Osprey destroyed in Yemen. This time, 9 days after inauguration, it’s 3 KIA, 60 civilians dead, a jet and a Blackhawk destroyed in DC. MAGA!

Thanks Craig! I hope DC gives it the TPB treatment. The ad pages in the floppies kinda messed up the rhythm for me. @whoisrico.bsky.social worked really hard to create atmosphere with his color, and the ads blew that up too imo.
