@thomhartmann.bsky.social 75,000 Fed Emp's take 8 mnths pay. Nearly 60% of fed civilian empls work for the Depts of Defense, Veterans Affairs, and Homeland Security. 2.4 mil civ. emp. 114,505 Feds retired in 2022. Most of those taking the early out were retiring anyway. 1/2

@thomhartmann.bsky.social What Trump is doing has been debated several times since Reagan and rejected each time. Trump gave himself the "Line Item Veto." He chooses what authorized money to spend in violation of the law. He has immunity, but the people under him do not, prosecute them.

@thomhartmann.bsky.social Ms May said most of what I said about Trump wanting to make Canada the 51st state. Rt now America's Hat excludes American Felons and anyone with a DUI in the last 10 years. Plus based on Pop they should be 5 states with 10 Senators and 46 Representatives.

@thomhartmann.bsky.social Congress has debated this idea several times over the last 20 years. They have always voted against the line item veto. But Trump gave it to himself. RRR always took pride in Reagan wearing a suit in the oval office. Ystrday Elmo was wearing a t-shirt and a baseball cap.
