Just a librarian fighting the war against ignorance and disinformation. The hill I’m willing to die on is your freedom to read what you want, and allow your children to read whatever you think is best, not the other way around.

Grateful for vaccines that have saved my life. Trust scientists.

Im thinking it’s a good time to use my EU passport. Where shall I land?

I had my first staff firing today. It was so incredibly sad and hard. I need some love. It’s not anything I want to do again..

I struck GOLD!

San Antonio says NO to ICE raids. This city is 64% Hispanic. We are watching! ¡Tráelo! #Voices4Victory #DemVoice1

Mexico to Trump: 🖕🖕🖕

Good for her! www.nytimes.com/2025/01/22/u...

Hunting for certain groups of people to get rid of, and now forcing people to inform on their coworker. Nope not Nazis.

Instead of watching the news or TV, I spent the day planning my escape.

Hell is empty. All the devils are here.

This man and a small group of capitol police officers singlehandedly saved our democracy four years ago. In November, 77 million Americans said "to hell with them" and voted for the insurrectionists. Your "Back the Blue" flags are a pathetic disgrace and your patriotism is bullsh*t.

I won’t forget January 6th.

Christmas. Answering that age old question: can you really have too many sweets?

Thinking of anyone here who is lonely today. I hope you find light and peace today. Happy what you celebrate!

Not like I gave it any kind of chance, but I am loathing AI. I’ve never sounded so older than my generation.

Back to work tomorrow after a long vacation where I never totally separated myself from work. Smiles everyone, smiles.

It’s been day 1 of vacation and I got texts from two staff. I told them to figure it out or someone comes back from vacation angry.

Walk into your workplace and tell your staff, “it’s going to be a great day” then thank them for their work every single day. They matter.

I just learned that “year end” sounds like “urine” in certain accents. Come in for the urine sales at your Nissan dealer today!

FYI it’s costs more to put something back than it does to maintain it. Fund the arts. Fund the libraries. Fund music programs. Fund our parks.

If you are compelled to join a mob to complain to Mother Abbess that a woman is happy, content, carefree, and living her best life, I promise you the problem to solve is not Maria.

It can take 18-259 days to make a habit stick. It’s been 9 days since I’ve turned the TV on. Maybe I can make it another 4 years.

Libraries have a long history of fighting for patron privacy. americanlibrariesmagazine.org/blogs/the-sc...

Oooh book club today waded into election waters and it was difficult to navigate. But another BC member stopped into the library after to tell me I handled it well even though she and I have clearly different views. So that’s a win.

Just wrote to Governor DeWine asking him to appoint Sherrod Brown as Vance’s replacement. Ohio deserves an honorable Senator.

I love that. “Ex”

I used to enjoy climate fiction and post apocalyptic fiction until now. It’s not so futuristic anymore and it’s quite unsettling that it’s happening around us. I also loved historical fiction until this country started repeating it.

Libraries matter. They always did but now they are more important than ever.
