I feel like the the price of chicken wings is such a harbinger for inflation. Remember when the whole point of wings was they were dirt cheap so you’d keep eating them and downing more and more drinks? Bars had ten cent wing nights! I was at an event last week and a la carte wings were $2 each.

One thing I find really impressive about Andor s2 is they waste no time catching you up on the time that’s passed in the year between episode blocks. Things happened, people did stuff and learned stuff and we’re always catching these characters in the middle. And it works.

I think it’s funny that some people are upset at Marvel for “spoiling” Thunderbolts* today with the title switch. Because it’s the same movie that already spoiled its own end credits scene because they had to credit Michael Giacchino with a certain score during the credits themselves.

I didn't post anything yesterday for May the 4th but I did run a D&D game where a kid shot Eldritch Blasts at a computer server on a spaceship (Barrier Peaks) and he missed with three of the blasts so I described the third one as going in via a narrow exhaust port setting off a chain reaction.

One of my big film pet peeves is when people point out something that is clearly intended to be a conflict of a movie as if it's a logistical flaw the filmmakers missed somehow. You don't need to be in a fight with a movie, especially if you haven't seen it.

It's really important to let everyone in your life know that Sinners is well worth seeing on the big screen even if you can't see it in IMAX. I saw it on a regular theatrical screen at the Alamo Drafthouse, and it was magnificent. Yes, it's lost IMAX screens. Yes, you should still see it now.
