I can't remember who it was, but someone smarter than me once pointed out that, if multi-unit housing is going to be truly accepted as a place to live your whole life and raise a family, we need to deal with the fact that so much of it has atrocious noise isolation.

The council meeting last night broke me. Until about halfway through the night, while things often happened around the horseshow I didn't like, I was able to keep some hope that council was 11 people trying their best and worth engaging with in good faith. I was wrong. #ptbo

it's not clear to me the draft bylaw even lets the city charge the stormwater management fee to renters. In every case it specifically refers to property owners. #ptbo

Bierk on the stormwater management shift: "The questions I've had have not been able to be answered... we don't have a cost per hectare, we don't have an answer for renters." Was insane to do this before designing the policy, but I can't see a motion to defer going anywhere. #ptbo
