Second look at strange women lying in ponds distributing swords as basis for government?

This Supreme Court can see Trump’s reckless flouting of the law…and still they’re determined to increase his power. They are a real danger to our democratic society.

In a sane country, which this obviously is not, a loose cannon like Trump in the Oval Office would move the Supreme Court to limit executive power any way they could. That they keep going the other way as he spirals further out of control is barely believable.

If it was not clear before, it is undeniable now: the President, Congress, and Supreme Court no longer support and defend the Constitution.

Tapper writes this without acknowledging that Milk himself served in the US Navy during the Korean War, or that Milk was assassinated while serving honorably in public office

they want to force UVA’s president to resign because he thinks it would be bad if the university reverted to being a lily-white finishing school for the failsons of the old guard southern elite www.nytimes.com/2025/06/26/u...

Lander: "It's just gross, racist bigotry. Meanwhile he's running an optimistic, upbeat campaign for a NY where everybody belongs, and I feel proud as the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in NYC to be supporting somebody who would be the first Muslim mayor—what could be more NYC than that?"

We won’t “get over” it, Mitch.

I am not good at this but I know this one...

Periodic and friendly reminder: It's "trans woman." Two separate words. Noun and adjective. It's not "transwoman." I have no idea what that is, but it's not a word.

Yes, I agree — it would be terrible. Please do NOT share this information!!!

My state has had a legislative GOP supermajority for 22 years. Missouri is ranked: 50th in classroom funding 49th in starting teacher pay 7th highest in gun deaths 6th highest in maternal mortality Republicans can’t govern and you can look at every red state to come to that conclusion.

NOT A SINGLE DEMOCRATIC SENATOR should confirm Emil Bove for the 3d Circuit Court of Appeals.

Movie you've watched more than six times using GIFs (hard mode: no Star Wars, Star Trek or LOTR)

Do they really think they can scare us with the word “socialist” when they are literally sending out men in masks with no warrants and no badges to disappear people off American streets? I know what I’m scared of, and it’s not a socialist.

You don't "not recall" telling DOJ lawyers to say "fuck you" to court orders. You either remember saying it, or you remember that you definitely didn't say it. Emil Bove saying he doesn't recall means he definitely said it, and there's a roomful of people that can testify to it.

He says he spent 3 days watching CNN. I guess there just isn't more important things in the world than watching TV when you're supposed to be in charge of the greatest country in the world

One thing current events have shown is the media seems pretty comfortable insinuating progressive ideas are “radical” while the strongest term they can deploy for genuinely radical MAGA plans is “controversial.”

A lie THIS obvious isn’t an attempt to fool anyone; it’s just a pure expression of contempt.

Can we get a list of anyone who shows up at Bezos wedding so I know not to buy, watch or listen to any of their sh*t ever again.

god it is so, so, so nice that for once - for once! - a sex pest has to suffer some consequences for his behaviour, for all the talk of MeToo having gone too far this is one of the first shameless attempted comebacks to just.....not work, and what a joy!

I think that the outcome in the NY Mayoral race and the Wisconsin Supreme Court race both show that people power CAN beat the political money machine. That should give us all hope, and the motivation to work for the government we want.

You know what would encourage people to get more physical activity? No, it is not wearable fitness trackers. It is: 1. A liveable wage so people have time for it 2. Safe parks and other infrastructure for such activity But that’s too hard.

Mic drop.

This, in a nutshell, is what most stands out to me about the last three years since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade: Conservatives desperate to codify a worldview that women actively oppose.

This “big, ugly bill” is dangerous and will destroy rural health care. In Kentucky alone, 35 hospitals are under the threat of closing, stripping care from families, cutting jobs and crippling local economies. 1/2

Three years ago, a corrupt Supreme Court seized our rights and overturned Roe v. Wade. The resulted is just what we predicted. Women dying because they can't get basic healthcare. Doctors afraid to treat patients. We will not stop fighting until abortion rights are restored.

the thing about emil bove is he also looks like a sniveling toady

So dark

"But they'll get over it"

Mitch McConnell has a net worth of up to $52 million, and has had high quality government-financed healthcare for decades. Losing your healthcare, losing your loved ones, losing your life, isn’t something people should be told “get over it.”

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!!! - Dementia J. Toddler

Sorry for the mixup, he meant "sees fire."

If you are kidnapping your citizens with no due process to take away their freedom and trying to silence media, law firms, and universities for exercising free speech, you don't get to call yourself "Leader of the Free World."

I’m like 90% sure most of these ICE guys are local cops. A bunch of slobs drunk with power who are making $150 an hour playing SpecOps dress up and beating the shit out of brown people. It’s just vibes but I feel like it tracks

He was humiliated on No Kings Day, so he bombed a country to self-soothe.

On Friday night, we walked the length of Manhattan, from Inwood Hill to Battery Park. New Yorkers deserve a Mayor they can see, hear, even yell at. The city is in the streets.

They were supposed to be deporting “gang members” and “criminals.” So far, they have kidnapped people working their day jobs and folks lawfully showing up for their immigration court appearances… It was always a lie.

This is the kind of excessive force case DOJ routinely prosecutes. They should open an investigation here, based on the misconduct not the victims status.

I've seldom seen a better encapsulation of the mix of denial, willful lying and simple reality bundled so neatly in a single headline.
