Good of Switzerland to get their non union Cara Delevigne equivalent to host. #Eurovision

God, this is horrific stuff. I wonder if anyone who was parroting “leave our troops alone” lines will acknowledge their folly? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

A week to Eurovision, folks! Best part of the year. Some absolutely insane songs this year. Very silly drinks based ones and a bit of a banger from Austria. #Eurovision

Swerved this issue by having always been uncool. One step ahead.

If I were JD Vance, I would consider whether God is perhaps sending me some fairly specific messages

How many days until the American Pope has his row with JD Vance?

Where Robert Prevost, the new US-born Pope, stands on climate change: "Prevost is outspoken about the need for urgent action on climate change" collegeofcardinalsreport.com/evidence/car...

Does @fabriziorom.bsky.social now Tweet: "New Pope. Here We Go!"?

Pope or Nope: Round 3 (or is it 4...you know what, who cares?) POPE!

Pope or Nope: Round 2. Nope.

Pope or Nope: Round 1. Nope.

"Industrial bottom trawling tears the seabed with such force the trails of destruction can be seen from space” "Sharks and turtles that survived the extinction of the dinosaurs, Attenborough says, may not survive industrial trawling" www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Blair's new climate report is “muddled and misleading" So says Prof Nicholas Stern, at LSE and author of the ‘The Economics of Climate Change: The Stern Review’ published by Tony Blair’s Government in October 2006 #climatecrisis

I hope TBI and Tony Blair learn from this. If you write a mostly sensible report don’t try to make it land with the media by crafting on lines that go far beyond the report and play into the hands of the enemies of Net Zero. As for the Government, they should largely ignore it and carry on!

A spokesperson for Tony Blair insists that he supports the govt’s 2050 net zero target

'Blither'.

How is it that the number of RTS meters is still so high? We knew about this problem well over a decade ago. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Nice one, Canada!!! 👏

Just because 99/100 scientists agree that it's bad to open a portal to the hell dimension doesn't mean we should immediately discount the opposing views of the scientist employed by Open A Portal To The Hell Dimension Inc.

Is the Spain/Portugal power outage a frequency event? Talk of 'power swing'? Energy Bluesky on the case?

Dear Canadian Friends, Please vote like the planet depends on it. It somewhat does. Best wishes, Everyone.

A fly has landed in my tea. I’m quite irrationally annoyed at the now-dead fly. I guess I needed that tea.

I found myself laughing out loud at this line in the daily briefing from @carbonbrief.org - "Climate-sceptic columnist Ross Clark has written a “factcheck” for the Spectator". Lovely use of inverted commas.

Well, this is extremely disappointing www.theguardian.com/environment/...

📢A new study from @uniofbath.bsky.social shows London's low emissions zones have had major benefits for human health and the economy, with a 10.2% decrease in respiratory issues following LEZ implementation, an **18.5%** reduction in sick leave, and annual public health savings of over £37 million.

If the online right decided that the value of pi was 3, the BBC would ban circles for treading on a matter of public controversy.
