Age yourself with a film you saw in theatres.

University may be free here, but accommodation costs for my eldest are going to bankrupt me. Anyone wanna buy a kidney?

It’s never nice to see someone lose their job. Especially when that someone is Rangers manager and they are hopeless.

Accompanied my daughter tonight to see one of her favourite bands - Lawrence. I have to say I was very impressed with their performance. They put on a fun show, filled with energy and some great music. I’d definitely see them again.

Bayern Munich needed a last minute equaliser against Celtic in Germany. Would never have believed that at the start of the season. Have to be so proud of that. A terrific improvement in Europe.

Scunnered but proud. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen my team lose a big game in injury time.

The final few episodes of Cobra Kai were brilliant. Ridiculous and cheesy and an absolutely joy. Bravo.

Just home from seeing my brother at the hospital. Daft bastard had a heart attack. Told him not to do it again. Eejit.

Why did no one tell me how good Mythic Quest is??

I grew up near Hampden Park and sometimes, when I didn’t have the money to go to Celtic Park, I’d go watch Queen’s Park play instead. So I’ve always had a soft spot for them. Don’t know why that’s popped into my head this evening.

The brilliant Cyndi Lauper in Glasgow tonight.

35 years of going to gigs and I don’t think I’ve ever walked out halfway through the support act before. Painfully bad. Seems to have finished now though, so will head back in.

Dear god this support act is fucking awful. A DJ playing rave ‘tunes’. Back to the bar for now.

Right, off to the Hydro to see Cyndi Lauper!

Had a lovely day today. Took the day off work (as I do every year on my birthday) and had a relaxing morning, before heading out to a museum. Then off to some secondhand record stores to spend my birthday money on a stack of CDs and some vinyl. Then a nice meal with my wife and kids. Simple joys.

Happy Waitangi Day to anyone in New Zealand!

I'm very pleased to say that the audio book of Titanchild (read by the entirely wonderful Jot Davies) is finally available. Hooray! www.amazon.co.uk/Titanchild-T...

For the President of the US to start banging on about how his predecessors did and to talk about diversity as a possible cause whilst bodies are still being retrieved is disgusting, disgraceful, crass and obscene. The man is an absolute piece of shit.

BBC’s post-match analysis of the Aston Villa v Celtic Champions League game was entirely about Villa. Analysed all their goals and talked about potential transfer news. Celtic didn’t rate a mention. I know Villa won, but come on! Celtic scored a couple of excellent goals but they weren’t mentioned.

It would appear my back garden has become some sort of sleazy fox hook-up spot.

@bookiesnacksize.bsky.social Happy Birthday Boo! Hope you’ve had a lovely day.

I’m half an hour into Section 31 and already thinking of turning off, due to one of the worst attempts at an Irish accent I’ve heard in ages. It’s painful. I can barely understand half of it.

Two trees down in our street and one of our neighbours has lost the ridge tiles from their roof.

Wind’s definitely picking up. Everything here battened down, just a bit worried about the trampoline across the road. Days like this I’m glad I can work from home.

That’s the council announced the schools will be closed tomorrow. A wise decision.

Red Alert weather warning just issued for Central Scotland for tomorrow. Winds up to 100mph. I’ll be keeping the kids off school. Far too dangerous to be out and about in that.

Sunday - the only day of the week I don’t have to get up early. So of course I was just woken by a scam caller on my mobile. 🤬

Happy Hogmanay! Tonight will be spent at home, where it’s safe, warm and dry. Good luck to any hardy souls venturing out into the storm in search of fun.
