This actually shows why tariffs are a bad way to rebuild manufacturing: they spark trade wars that close markets to products made in the USA. FDR made free trade a centerpiece of the New Deal for exactly this reason. Biden’s approach was working well.

It would be very unwise of Dems in #waleg to pass the fake rent stabilization bill that came out of the State Senate. The version that went to the Senate floor, before @sharonshewmake.bsky.social and @markoliias.bsky.social gutted it, was a sensible compromise that was good policy and good politics.
