Raise your hand 🙋‍♂️ for parking reform! @parkingreform.org

Arrived early for a meeting to hear more about the great work planned by The District - grabbed a few 📸 of the city’s most recent signal box artwork on 196th on my way to grab ☕️ 👀 ➡️: thedistrict425.com/master-plan/ - great things happening in Lynnwood as we build an urban, walkable downtown

As a commissioned Army officer, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same. 1/4 #NoKings

This book was recommended to me, and I am here to say -if you haven't read it, get it on your list! I thought I understood issues like redlining, which is why I had advocated for eliminating exclusionary/single family zoning. This book was truly eye-opening, though. A must-read.

On multiple fronts, Americans are under siege. Stand together and stand strong 🇺🇸

Great week so far in Providence, RI for the #StrongTowns National Gathering and Congress for the New Urbanism! Housing; right-sizing roads; building livable and lovable places; adapting to changing climate issues; it’s a jam-packed agenda. Quick photo w/ Chuck Marohn and passionate group of ppl!

Bothell had an informative presentation from Urban3 a few years ago on this topic. If you haven't read Walkable City by @jeffspeck.bsky.social , it's a must-read. I think my copy (and Walkable City Rules) are (hopefully) still floating around Lynnwood city departments 😆 youtu.be/RNl6NR5D4Kg?...

🔥MUST-WATCH: @profgalloway.com takes Elon apart “Somehow in 🇺🇸 we decided💰excuses depravity… his behavior his abhorrent. He’s not a role model. His legacy won’t be an EV or rockets— it’ll be unnecessary death, disease, disability of 🌎’s most vulnerable.” piers: “Wow.”

Another endorsement 🙏: Democratic Municipal Officials (DMO), association of elected leaders who identify with values of the Democratic Party. DMO gives a voice to those who engage with their communities the most, and who have a uniquely tangible impact on the direction of the cities they represent.

Protected bike lanes have a near-magical ability to produce cyclists. This new study of 28 US cities finds that census block groups w/protected bike lanes expanded bike commuting almost 2x faster than those w/standard bike lanes & >4x faster than those w/o new lanes. www.nature.com/articles/s44...

Countless LGBTQ+ Americans have served—in every branch, at every rank—swearing to defend a Constitution that didn’t always defend them. Their service is undeniable. Their rights are non-negotiable. We’ve worn the same boots, taken the same oath—and we’ve got their six. Always.

I recently had the opportunity to visit our Wastewater Treatment Plant. Many Lynnwood residents have probably never heard of the plant - a testament to the great work happening 24/7 by our Public Works team who manage and operate the plant. What a debt of gratitude we owe them! 🧵

GOP Sen. Joni Ernst responds to voters saying that cutting Medicaid will kill them: “Well, we all are going to die.”

This #MemorialDay, recognize that cuts to the VA mean delayed care and more deaths, which is a slap in the face to those who served.

Honored to have been nominated to be a Founding Member of the Abundance Elected Leaders Network! Haven’t heard of #Abundance ? Check it out - it might be giving a name to everything you want your government to be doing! www.abundancenetwork.com/our-values/

In case you were wondering how long we’ve known that mobility in cities is fundamentally a space problem, this was from Wichita Falls, Texas in 1927. The streetcar was electric. And they would need more cars today because of fewer average people in each car. HT Peter Norton

Thanks to bike commuter Alex Lew for sharing this great photo of the first-ever @sound-transit.bsky.social light rail vehicle crossing a floating bridge! #BikeEverywhereMonth #HelloLakeWashingtonFloatingBridge

RSVP and swing by next week!

Had the opportunity to attend the Housing Hope ‘Stone Soup’ fundraising event. Great event, showcased progress made so far, and work to be done. 💯 support for two great projects on horizon in Lynnwood: Scriber Place (2026), and Alliance Place (2029). Learn and support at www.housinghope.org !

Bike Everywhere Day! - kudos to the volunteers who made it happen! Shoutout to our Lynnwood station, hosted by REI and Momentum Fitness. People deserve options for getting around. Bike infrastructure is cost effective and makes our streets safer for everyone. (Not pictured: 1 🍩, 1 🍪, 1 ☕️ )

Appreciate the volunteer efforts to set up so many great celebration stations!

Thank you @votevets.org for endorsing my campaign for Lynnwood City Council! VoteVets is dedicated to helping elect #progressive #veterans for public office - proud to be a part of this movement. Now more than ever, we need to stand together in defense of democracy and the rule of law.

This is the ideal male body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like. 🪖 🚲 🚈 #bike #bikeeverywheremonth #transit #bikecommute #pnw

Practical but impactful way to liven up the mundane 👍
