We all laughed when the Habs scouts called him a unicorn. But…. Maybe they weren’t joking?

I used to feel that I didn’t want one of Putin’s puppets breaking the NHL goal scoring record. But now that the record holder has turned into a Trump twit, I couldn’t care less. Let them have their goals. Bc we all know the only goal scoring GOAT worth looking up to is the one they called the Rocket

These goalies saw Jordan Binnington being proclaimed a hero and are naturally doing their best job of impersonating him

Me after 6 minutes: “I’m so glad Habs hockey is back!” Me about 10 minutes later: “Fucking Habs”

The best thing about a Canada - US finals is that, if Canada wins it’s because Auston Matthews only captains teams that choke, America always loses to Canada when it counts and “karma”. And if the US wins, who cares? This stupid, made up, cash grab of a tournament doesn’t mean anything anyway! 😁

Regarding the reaction of American hockey players to Canadians booing the anthem: It does and always will remain true that, if you want an uneducated opinion on anything other than hockey, one of the best things you can do is ask a hockey player. So no point being angry at or disappointed in them.

Viewing options tonight: Luka’s second game with the Lakers, last AEW Dynamite before Grand Slam and Canada playing in some fake, cash grab hockey tournament. Pretty easy to decide what the odd program out is tonight.

Get some rest, Habs. Rough couple of weeks, but you gave us the best month of hockey we’ve had in 4 years. Re-group, refresh and let’s finish the season strong. Wanna feel good as we head into next season, which is the year we REALLY begin to make our move!

Glad the Bell Centre is at least getting to cheer on some goals today. Nothing worse than paying big money to watch boring, goalless hockey.

The relationship between Habs fans and Patrick Laine has to be one of the most toxic ones in recent memory. I can’t remember anyone who fans fell in love with harder and quicker, who they then turned on so quickly. Truly don’t get either end of that behavior.

There are worse things than having another top 5 pick. But this is gonna be a depressing end to the season if the Habs don’t find their groove after the international break. The results I don’t care about. But I’m worried for the progress of the young guys once the sell off starts to happen

Nobody needs this 4 Nations break more than the Habs….except maybe fans of the Habs 🥴

It’s not much fun watching the Habs again. Was a great Christmas and new year season, though!

Sign Armia and Evans to 8 year, max dollar contracts. It’s only fair to pay your best players

Habs are back to being the fragile, inconsistent version of themselves we saw earlier in the season. Many reasons for that; none of which are worth panicking over. But it’s time to accept the Habs will be sellers at the deadline and figure out how to maximize assets who aren’t part of the future

List of crazy accident/injury/health issues since Habs left the Forum off the top of my head: Trent McCleary’s neck Donald Audette’s wrist Saku Koivu’s cancer/eye Max Pac’s neck Price’s knees Gally’s hand Weber’s lower half Dach’s knee Now Guhle’s knee …what am I missing?

This feels like a way bigger gut punch than it should. I’m now questioning things like: “is my whole life also a lie?”

The cracks that were showing in their play are now showing up in the results

People who are not fans not understanding fan behavior 101. As I’ve said many times: being emotional and irrational is part of being a fan. As long as you aren’t incessantly and irrationally negative, you’re good. People who don’t feel irrationally low, also don’t experience the same highs.

I’m not gonna lie and tell you it doesn’t REALLY annoy me that we only lose to shit teams like Columbus, Chicago, Detroit and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Hutson has been super human this season in his rookie campaign. But you gotta wonder, as he continues to play more competitive games than he ever has before in a single season, if games like tonight start to become more and more of the norm. Would be totally understandable if it were the case.

This is becoming too much of a trend. One of two things is coming: a correction or a regression.

Had the Habs not blown that lead Saturday, they’d be sitting 6 points out of FIRST in the division, with a game in hand. Crazy stuff! There’s no certainty around how this season ends, but one certainty is that, for year 3 of a rebuild? This season’s ALREADY a success. We’re now is “magic” territory

The Habs trading for Crosby, as one media member floated, would feel a lot like when they traded for Savard. Be fun in the moment and wouldn’t hurt their chances at a miracle Cup run. But for the long run, it would be a disaster and would ultimately be a poorly thought out move

Was listening to @walsha.bsky.social on his podcast and he was projecting the cap to rise to $105million in 3 years. He also made 2 points that I think could REALLY affect the Habs 1) there will be less “cap teams” 2) players recently locked in to long term contracts will be envious of new ones

Dobes wasn’t lights out tonight, but I DO think he’s earned the right to start the next game. Most importantly, the Habs bubble hasn’t burst yet and this was anything BUT just another weekend! That’s the kind of game the Habs would not win for the past 4 years. Just another sign they’re on their way

This is not the kind of hockey that lead to the Habs recent success. Hope we can pull out a result out of this, but the Habs need to get back to what got them into the position they’re currently in standings wise, if they want any hope of contending for the playoffs

Nick Suzuki: just another half Asian king!

People will point to a lot of different things as reasons for that Habs collapse, but personally I blame the bozo who posted this

If he plays lights out against the Rangers, is this the weekend Dobes supplants Montembault in the battle for starter status? Or if he doesn’t, is this the weekend the Habs bubble bursts and they turn back into a pumpkin? Or, perhaps…. is this just another weekend? 😂
