Discipline is not forced effort. Discipline is remembering what you really want and taking small steps regularly to achieve it.

Fiverr has come up with new system that uses your own AI-generated voice to offer to clients. Would you use it?

Hit the mid 60's yesterday. Currently 22. Ah Polar Vortex, your climate-changing instability makes for fun living in Austin.

Client sent me a script at 7:30AM I had it back to them by 8. Invoice paid by Noon. THATS how it should be! Not having to constantly bug clients to pay their Damn invoices. I hate having to be "Vinny the kneebreaker" for some clients, but that's all part of the job. #VOlife

A slick little piece of marketing can pay off for you as a voice actor. Most newspapers love running stories on interesting people in interesting jobs. Try reaching out to one and see what happens.

If you're interested in voiceover or voice acting, Im co-hosting a FREE webinar this Wednesday on how to get started. PERFECT information if you're a beginner. We're close to selling out, so act fast and register here: uvtcoaching.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?...

Here's another brilliant job offer from LinkedIn: This is a media company that wants to do a ton of Youtube videos that will DEFINITELY be monitized...but they want a voice actor to work for free. Your voice has value. NO ONE SHOULD EVER WORK FOR FREE.

ATTN: #voiceacting folks: The waveform visualizer ECHOWAVE has a line in their terms of service that says they can use your content for anything they want (including AI training) FOREVER. This is why its important to read the TOS before you sign up for anything.

Hey voice actors - If you apply to these jobs you're training your replacement.

Congratulating someone on getting signed with an agency and they replied: "Your direction on my VO Commercial demo made this possible!" And that just made my day.

The prize isnt the trophy. The prize is who you become in the process of earning it.

He probably does, but he'll never admit it.

Amusing technical advice given to me regarding my new guitar: "Try putting some lube in your nut slots. It helps the strings slide more freely when you wang your Biggs."

Perhaps an unpopular opinion: Knowing how to write a good prompt doesnt make you an artist.

Did you land a gig that requires an NDA? Cool! Now shut the hell up about it. Even disclosing that you signed an NDA could potentially violate that NDA. Share your wins, but if told to keep your mouth shut, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.

I just saw someone post a video they produced for broadcast saying, "Its not my best work, but..." Dont discredit your effort to produce something. Suggesting its not your best work just makes you look like you're unskilled and dont know what you're doing. Let the audience decide.

What kind of a career has me considering buying a collection of "whoosh" sound effects for $82? A weird one. (but I love it)

#ProTip: Celebrate your wins and the wins of others. Those moments are what makes this whole process worthwhile. A win is a win.

If you've always wanted to get into voice acting and voiceover but didnt know how, this is a fantastic way to dip your toes in the water without spending a lot. I really wish something like this existed when I was first learning.

Ever get these from your website form? Its spam. And ANYONE that promises to put you on page 1 of a Google search is scamming you.

It doesnt matter if its in #voiceover or any other field: There's always someone willing to do it cheaper. (But you get what you pay for.)

If on-hold recordings were honest: "Even though this recording is only 60 seconds long, and you're going to hear it at least a dozen times before we connect you to someone who gives a damn, please continue to hold. Your call is VERY important to us."

Can I just say how much I enjoy trying to find a new doctor? Woohoo. YeeHaw.

Stepping outside of your comfort zone leaves you open to the possibility of failure. Doing nothing assures it.

No thanks. I wont be training some voice artists replacement.

"Fail to prepare, prepare to fail" Spending some time studying your audition script will give you an advantage in landing the job. www.linkedin.com/feed/update/...

Since they're probably going to be $5 a piece soon, this is crucial.

There's something very empowering about telling a recruiter that you're not interested in some random job thats not related to voiceover. Its also slightly disquieting knowing that its on you to make your own financial success. Let it be the spark that explodes you forward.

Just because you have gear doesnt mean you're a voice actor. I have a car. It doesnt mean Im ready for the Indy 500. It takes more than a microphone and hope.

All roadies are stagehands; not all stagehands are roadies.

This guy gets it.

If you're a voice actor in LA, the National Association of Voice Actors can help you. #voiceover #LAfires #VoiceActor #VoiceStrong

Booked a new client this morning. Such a great feeling.

The days of voice artists making a living by just hitting the pay-to-play casting sites are over. DIRECT MARKETING is the only way forward.

Well I just submitted the biggest audition of my life. Sure would love to land this one. And thats all Im gonna say.

They had it comin.

Mercedes Benz McDonalds Northrup Grummand Anheuser Busch This are just some of the brands I can pronounce correctly.
