I don’t know what my next game is going to be, but the one I’ve absolutely decided is that I want to make a game that’s really visually interesting. Something with a striking and unified art style that can immediately grab people in trailers and screenshots.

played a few hours of this. i wondered what would happen if i looped the first two rooms in order to get easy meat from murdering things. well. i now think that i shouldnt loop the first two to three rooms over and over. fun game, though i do have my minor qol quibbles.

I’m one of those weirdos that liked the Tony Hawk series way more after they turned it into Banjo-Kazooie with a skateboard starting in TH4 so that game getting a remake is really exciting to me.

The combat in Pirate Yakuza feels very different from Zero (which is my main point of comparison for pre-turn-based Yakuza). It honestly feels like they took some cues from Insomniac Spider-Man of all things, but maybe it’s just because it has a similar air-combo system.

It makes me very happy that Steam lists No Delivery in New Meat's "More Like This" reel. I don't know if I ever mentioned this, but No Delivery was a HUGE influence on New Meat, just as much as Binding of Isaac was. store.steampowered.com/app/2442440/...

NEW MEAT UPDATE: Okay, command decision has been made. New Meat will NOT have achievements enabled at launch. We've been working down to the eleventh hour to get them functional, but no dice. We'll continue to work on it and get the achievement update live as soon as possible.

It’s genuinely coming down to the wire whether or not New Meat will launch with achievements. Please understand if I have to turn them on in a future update. (Like a week at most probably.) Need to convince myself that the entire launch doesn’t hinge on this. #gamedev #indiedev
