joke of a country, just wrap it up already

Musk has the power to fire regulators who oversee his businesses, and the procurement officers who provide his government contracts. The US govt uses its dwindling power to pressure allies not to regulate him, and to target judges who have rule against him.

Biden regularly abused emergency powers to enable a genocide, yet some people think it’s an abomination to use emergency powers to help people survive a cost of living crisis.

Biden never had to end the student loan repayment pause; he did so because he wanted to. By doing so, he threw millions of borrowers into financial distress: www.stephensemler.com/p/how-biden-...

People don’t forget

The geniuses at the Democratic Party settling on “maybe we were too woke” rather than “a cabal of billionaire pedophile Nazis are stealing your money and taking a sledgehammer to your future” is astonishing. Just one of those things

Jessica Cisneros came within a few percent of defeating Cuellar in the 2020 primary. She came within 0.1% in 2022. The party supported Cuellar both times.

I personally think all billionaires should be publicly shamed and booed, not just Taylor Swift but including her

Look at my opposition party dawg

It's such a freeing thing to accept nothing good will ever happen again. Can really focus on getting 8 to 9 hours of quality sleep in

Dog look at my opposition party we're not getting out of this

Can’t stop wont stop (crying)

The "anti-war" right seems to frame much of their rhetoric within the America First framework, especially "anti-war" electeds. "Stop funding war and spend it domestically." And yet few--if any--of these same people are condemning Elon Musk slashing programs that *do* spend domestically.

I’ll never forgive the Democrats for ratfucking the 2016 and 2020 primaries.

Everything Elon Musk cites here is true! The US has $75.3 TRILLION in unfunded obligations for Social Security & Medicare. What he doesn't say is this is over the next 75 years, during which the US GDP will be a cumulative $2 quadrillion, so this is under 4%. Who cares?

Drake rn:

I don't want to live in a meritocracy. I want to live in the world where you'll be ok even if you don't have an iota of talent in your body.

So Elon Musk says he’s looking for waste and fraud but the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau costs less than $1B/year and has returned $20B and counting to consumers in roughly a decade. prospect.org/economy/2025...

"We obviously can't do anything" is not a tenable response to a crisis brought about by actors using every lever at their disposal to do things no one thought they could do.

NEW: A Harris campaign organizer says senior officials ordered them to erase voters who asked about Gaza—marking emails as “no response” so they’d be removed from outreach. No engagement, no persuasion, just ignored. “The only clowns are the ones who decided to abdicate on this.”

Most of the world’s brightest minds are hard at work developing new ways for you to get depression from a computer

How do flavored tobacco products get banned but not flavored alcohol. I’d like to have a word with their PR person

These are the people who gave us Trump. Their constituents who spent a full year BEGGING them to stop partnering with a MAGA terrorist are not the people who gave us Trump.
