Impulse Purchase: Bought the Flux UI component library for Livewire. Do I need it? No, but maybe someday! πŸ˜…

Enough with bugs and glitches in Arc, let's try something new -> zen-browser.app πŸ™Œ

I found a cool video discussing why my app, HabitKit, is successful on the App Store!

What an outstanding review! It made me really happy when I read it, lifting my mood instantly. Hearing such positive feedback makes all the hard work and dedication worthwhile ❀️

Added an option to abbreviate habit names in the compact list. I think it looks awkward. Any ideas to make it look better?

Interesting, seems like in some cases my app HabitKit is recommended by ChatGPT. I can't reproduce it on my end though. Will ask the user for the prompt she used πŸ€”

πŸ’‘ I’ve realized I don’t want a big company or lots of employees. I just want a business that fits my life and lets me build things I care about. Being an indie hacker means freedom to create, talk to users, and set my own schedule. Feels like the best job for me.

Published a crucial hotfix for HabitKit, addressing some bugs related to the newly introduced emoji support.

WIP: Making the number of days in the compact list of HabitKit configurable πŸš§πŸ› οΈ

I just posted another issue of my weekly indie log: open.substack.com/pub/sebastia...

Trying to improve the "compact" list view in @HabitKit visually. I will also make the amount of days shown configurable and add an option to abbreviate the habit names πŸ€”

Love how accessible the new calendar view is with the upcoming HabitKit update πŸ₯°

4th place in the US App Store for the keyword "habit tracker" πŸ™ŒπŸŽ‰

I'm happy with the design of the new habit detail page for HabitKit. I just need to add details about the categories and streak goals now. We'll begin testing soon. Anyone interested in joining the beta?

Started the phased release for HabitKit 1.12.0: Soon you'll be able to finally use an emoji for your habits instead of an icon.

Added a calendar to the new habit detail view. Previously, some users were unaware of this feature, so now it's much more accessible!

Just posted another weekly indie log about my app business progress: open.substack.com/pub/sebastia...

Thinking about updating the onboarding experience for HabitKit πŸ€”

πŸš§πŸ› οΈ WIP: After 2.5 years I'm finally revamping the habit detail view. Still to do: β€’ Fix alignments and spacing β€’ Integrate calendar view β€’ Display streak counter and streak goal

"What's New" modal for HabitKit 1.12 - Done βœ…

Just added the ability to search for icons in HabitKit πŸ‘Œ

I randomly came across a great Reddit response that made my day. Thanks, Dane! ❀️

What's your favorite note-taking app? Mine are Supernotes, Noteplan, and Capacities. Each has its pros and cons, but these are the best in my opinion.

I love it when people use the "Send Feedback" button in HabitKit just to send me this πŸ₯°

Wow, that's an insanely cool website: animejs.com/

Revamping the icon/emoji selection for HabitKit πŸš§πŸ› οΈ

Making good progress on adding emoji support for HabitKit πŸ‘Œ

Just released another HabitKit update: β€’ Configure the start of the week, whether it's Sunday, Monday or Wednesday. β€’ Added a "Manage Subscription" button to the subscribers view. β€’ Added a link in the settings menu to my other app, Liftbear.

I wish I'd seen this video before going full-time indie. It captures the struggles and realities of being self-employed really well: www.youtube.com/watch?v=It1...

Recently started using Akiflow, and time-blocking deep-work sessions has been a game-changer for my productivity!

About cross-device synchronization and emoji support for HabitKit πŸ™Œ open.substack.com/pub/sebastia...

I believed the same, until I created a habit-tracking app that eventually led me to become a full-time indie hacker.

People are literally shocked when you answer their support emails πŸ˜‚

Adding some highly-requested icons for @HabitKit and it's next update 🚧

I finally added a link in the settings of HabitKit to my first app, Liftbear. Since there's natural overlap between people tracking habits and fitness enthusiasts, this seems like a cool way to create some synergy between my products.

When I began building in public, I was terrified of being cringe, but the results made it all worthwhile.

Finally added a "Manage Subscription" button to HabitKit. Maybe I'll get less support emails πŸ˜…

Implementing more user feedback: I will make the start of the week completely configurable in HabitKit πŸš§πŸ› οΈ

Hmm, FontAwesome is releasing a new major version. I hope they finally add an icon for "Meditation" because every HabitKit user is requesting it. I'm this close to caving in and allowing emojis as icons πŸ‘Œ

Hey, they redesigned the Google Play Console dashboard. I like the new look πŸ€”

Releasing HabitKit 1.11: Track Without Limits! β€’ Unlimited Tracking: Flexibly track any habit with unlimited completions. β€’ Personalized Progress: Whether it's pages, minutes, or more, track your way. β€’ Push Past Goals: By being able to exceed your daily goal.
