I've never seen crows in my yard before. But I've also been wishing I could befriend some. Today 8? Showed up? Squawked at me quite a bit. I gave them banana and a tiny bit of bread and a watermelon crust. Neverminding the omens, biologically why would a murder of crows randomly show up in a yard?

I love vintage. But I hate feeling like my house is where vintage goes to die. I got these cute vinyl dining chairs for free a few years ago. One had a tear and all needed their ball bearings replaced. But now all are torn. Trying my best to make some fun repairs with leather patches.

Two kittens and a Tom went to TNR and the shelter today. 1 or 2 more kittens to save and many, many more ferals to trap. One day I will win this battle. Until then I will feed them and name them and love them (and sometimes bury them) even if it's just from a distance...

I still have the books from when i was young. Since it was such a phenomenon, I read some of them to my kids explaining all the problems with the author and they noticed all the fat shaming and bullying and cruelty in the books- and didnt get past the 2nd or 3rd. There is no reason to support her.
