They said it would never happen. Hundreds of Beavers hits $1,000,000 in worldwide Box Office. Long live indie cinema! $150,000 budget and a dream. And thank you to the fans who got us here.

Even as a person that regularly does lettering for comics, this seems like witchcraft

I am walking across NL on pieterpad.nl May 27-Jun 15, 2025. Inspired by Rainer Grimm's ALS journey www.modernescpp.com/index.php/ca... , I'm pledging 1 euro for each km logged (~500) to ALS research. I invite you to join me virtually with your own daily walking and ALS pledge! More updates to come!

Ukraine is Europe! We stand by Ukraine. We will step up our support to Ukraine so that they can continue to fight back the agressor. Today, it became clear that the free world needs a new leader. It’s up to us, Europeans, to take this challenge.

(Boosts encouraged!) Hi! 👋 I’m Kat. I’ve been a professional dev for over 15 years. I maintained the NPM CLI for 5 of those. I sat in TC39. I work at Microsoft. I’m self taught w/a film degree and no formal CS edu. Are you new to tech? What do you wish you could ask some1 like me? Literally AMA

Today I revisited C-code I wrote 21 years ago. Not horrible code, but way too long functions, too deep nesting of loops and conditions, and short cryptic names for things. And a few odd idiosyncracies like !0 for "true". I guess this is proof that I have improved since then. Good!

I was a great fan of musical humorist Victor Borge. He played here, many years ago, and I didn't go to the concert. A year or so after, he passed away. Now I try to go to events when I can. This random YT find from Duo Baldo, reminded me of this lost chance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOEu...

When I see myself in the bathroom mirror first thing in the morning.

The New Year opening 20 meters below the surface in the cave will happen again, thanks to our long-time Pro partner. @atlascopcogroup.bsky.social. Here the Meetup announcement: www.meetup.com/stockholmcpp...

What on earth did I just watch? www.youtube.com/watch?v=5h4P... The link is a teaser. You have to pay to watch the full film. It's well worth it. A crazy 1930s cartoon mashup, but with actors in silly costumes and very lo-fi effects.

This goof ball is no more. She fell suddenly very ill on Saturday morning, and the vets were unable to save her.

Woohoo! CppNorth is a great conference. I hope I can go there this summer.

Here we go! Speakers, get to work on your proposals. And, if you could, please also tell at least one attendee that we exist and are a nice conference! Attendees are what fund speakers! Hesitant to submit? We have advice and mentoring, please start a submission so we can help you be there.

The welcome post for blue sky: A link to the playlist with all three talks of our latest Meetup in #Stockholm. Enjoy! www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

The cover for my book on how debuggers work is here! Preorders are still 25% off: nostarch.com/building-a-d...

I know large language models can't do math, but one might have thought a large language model could do language. Here's Google explaining that the past tense of the verb lever is "leveraged".

I was asked to have a look at GitLab Duo. If you've used it, what are your experiences, good and bad? Please, only first hand experience, not hearsay.

The starter packs in STEM are becoming more specialist. The starter packs in STEM are becoming more men-only*. ▶️Starter pack makers - be careful what you curate. ▶️Starter pack followers - be careful what your feed looks like, and curate you follow. *At least >90 male-presenting. 🧪

You need to read this thread so you can use the meme to quickly explain to someone else why you're reacting strongly to something very small. Because you should.

Haha, this is my humour! www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVeY... Thank you @dylanbeattie.net

Today was a good day at work.
