Today we watched a forgotten 90's action thriller: Breakdown (1997). Oh boy, this is the good stuff. Starring Kurt Russel & a cadre of fine character actors (J. T. Walsh , M. C. Gainey, Rex Linn etc) it's very well done & has great practical stunt work. Suffer from very few 90's-isms. Watch it.

This US vs Canada hockey thing reminded me of a thing from the last World Cup. After the Czechs had beaten US in the quarter finals the US captain went on camera & whined about how "if they had let us start fights we would have won". Oh, if they let you cheat you would have won, huh? Solid argument
