I love reading early Gothic chapbooks where they force as much plot as humanly possible into the shortest space. In my latest read, in the course of a single page, there's an attempted rape, revelation of incest, a murder, suicide and the reveal that a servant kidnapped a baby. Just... all go.

Since AI fundamentally can’t produce a 1st-class Humanities essay, how could it mark one? It can’t be creative, it doesn’t take a line, its references are fake and it can’t research anything not digitised. It makes something that LOOKS like an essay. That’s what we try to coax students out of doing.

Happy ace day of visibility fellow aces. Visibility can make you a target but it also makes other roads visible and possible for people growing up trying to force themselves into a mould they don't fit or people who've lived their lives thinking there was something missing. I love that for us.
