Teachers teach. We need a leaderful movement, and there are leaders all around us.

You think Machiavelli - Machiavelli! - wrote "The Prince" to help Princes? Shit no. He wrote it to protect the bureaucracy of civil servants that were serving the people. And it worked. He played that Prince, bigtime. I mean honestly how can you not realize MACHIAVELLI was working an angle

I'm already on their side but these chats are TAILORED to me

Liz Truss at CPAC sounds exactly like Cunk legit worried I dialed into the wrong audio line

hear me out: they walk into the vault at Fort Knox and someone accidentally closes the door, and then everyone who could open the door resigns

love my neighbors

It's still five days until George Washington's birthday but in light of recent events I feel it is time to break the emergency glass: youtu.be/qv6OOuPI5c0?...

Something that steadies me is I know exactly who I am, and who I am is this three minutes and 46 seconds of film. Which aspect or minute varies but it all loops back around. I'm set.

took a thirty minute nap on my lunch break and my cat is screaming like I've been gone for a year cat you nap 20 hours a day

Sure, I'll do that.

a lot of political analysis still assumes only men are real. I'll sometimes be a few pages deep into a piece before I hit "and their women" and realize I should ignore everything they already said

The Black Panthers were originally named The Black Panther Party for Self Defense and I remember seeing videos and photos of them escorting people who needed political protection, like they were the Secret Service. Is there anybody doing anything like that today? (not asking for myself; curious)

Back from Boskone (a 25 minute drive away, but it's snowy) and completely wiped out. It was fun and my schedule wasn't tough and I saw people I love, but the nerves are jangled (and tired from shoveling snow) Maybe tonight I finally watch Heat, which is nice and long and has heat right in its name.

periodic reminder that closed captioning, especially of live television but really all of it that's not AI jibberish, is done by underpaid humans working at nonprofits. All of it. Super qualified people working a stressful job for less than market rate to help with accessibility.

convo from a couple of days ago (I'm blue bubbles)

Scoop: The databases powering DOGE.gov are insecure, and people outside the government have already pushed their own updates to the site to prove it: www.404media.co/anyone-can-p...
