Split Fiction is basically more It Takes Two and I love it. And I also love not having collectibles. It's like I'm just playing the game and... that's it. No annoying checklists to go through. So refreshing.

Bulk updates on a database should be done solely on vibes only. I will NULL be taking NULL at this NULL.

I can't believe the left lightists are saying that the right shadowists are colluding with the up warmists, who have vowed to OWN the down coldists. This is getting out of hand!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, Alan Wake 2 is very good.

New phone who dis

Just got a new keyboard, and now want to type forever. Weird how much something as simple as a keyboard affected my entire motivation to want to create side projects or write.

Something I've always toyed with doing (whenever I have free time again) is to build a game, and make videos of the entire process. Not like a tutorial, but more to show how an inexperienced game designer would go about the entire process from scratch.

Deadlock has ahold of me. Send help.

Coming from .NET, seeing that the de facto standard to creating a new Java Spring Boot project is to use a website called Spring Initializr is wild to me.

School doesn't prepare you for the mental toll of being unable to update/upgrade legacy code during a migration due to deadlines It's just so ugly please Please let me FIX IT

I would like to apologize to everybody who I thought was dyslexic when fighting Rellana.

Ok so I don't HATE the furnace golems in the Elden Ring DLC, but why are they weak to hefty fire pots? How did people figure this out? My dumbass was throwing ice pots at them because I thought it made sense. Is there something I'm missing, like I should have KNOWN they would be weak to it?

How do other people write code? I like to template out functions, I need/think I'll need, and then make changes as required. I feel like it gives me a nice jumping off point, and helps me stay (mostly) within best practices.

Hellblade 2 was a spectacle from start to end. Everything about it was exceptionally well done. I very much enjoyed the story, but a narrative choice near the end only leaves some room for some pretty unsatisfying world/story implications. Still fantastic though. ❤️

For the past two years, I've been working full-time while finishing up my bachelor's degree full-time! Lots of people ask me how it is, in this thread, I'll be going over what it's like and some helpful tips!

Why does Unity fill me with an urge to throat punch somebody?

I've been reading into design-first vs. code-first API development. This could just be me being naive, but why have these approaches not been combined? For example, design a spec and generate the boilerplate code, and from there use spec generation to make maintenance and updates easier?

My guilty pleasure is eavesdropping on conversations and then pretending like I didn't hear any of it when I am looped in.

I think I have to replay Dragon's Dogma so I can get my grubby little hands on DD2 ASAP.

CS majors: math is useless Also CS majors: gee why isn't my ML algorithm working correctly

Ya know, Bluepoint has been quiet for a while. Just imagine a Bluepoint Bloodborne remake.

ChatGPT reminds me of Fortnite. Something so big and revolutionary turned into a brand that instills a small bit of annoyance and anger in me whenever somebody mentions it. But they both do be cool af tho.

Quantum computing makes me realize just how much math I've forgotten. And also makes me realize how much I miss playing games. 🥲

Alright. True Detective is really good.

Is that a recursive statement in your pocket or is that a recursive statement in your pocket or

Everyone is off having fun playing Starfield and Baldur's Gate n I'm still trying to beat Zelda 🥲

Another day, another Twitter. Howdy y'all! Intro for the poor sucker(s) who happen upon it! My name is Josh, I'm currently a software engineer, and in school for software engineering. :) I like to write blog posts occasionally, and work on games in my VERY limited spare time.
