I wasn’t trying to make a statement when looking this up, I just thought it would be fun to look at This Day in History daily from now on. Anyway 31 Jan 1606 Guy Fawkes was executed for the 5 Nov 1605 Gunpowder plot. Also the 13th Amendment passed the House vote in 1865.
