AUSA Hagan Scotten, former clerk for John Roberts, really put some mustard on his resignation letter.

I am definitely feeling like a proud Episcopalian

I'm really attempting to save my energy but man these last few days are REALLY testing my patience

If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have profoundly misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.

There is nothing like receiving a bad opinion during the holidays.

It was a staple in my house.

I have a lot of thoughts on this. like, I get it, truly I do. but also lots of good local news is available online, and even if offered quality reporting, would some people even take it? that right-wing echo chamber is so affirming. plus, a lot of local news is now owned by Sinclair anyway, etc.

The final House results have now landed as 220-215 for the GOP. That means the House majority came down to the 3 NC seats the GOP flipped thanks to its brand new gerrymander. And that gerrymander hinged on NC's supreme court flipping in 2022. I wrote this last month: boltsmag.org/state-suprem...

I wonder if Crumley gets a jersey this season.

Some of you are crossing the line from understandably sad about the election and nervous about the future into a conviction that the only appropriate emotion for everything is despair and that it's impossible for anything to ever get better again, anywhere, and friends that is called depression.

Drake just signed a legal document acknowledging "Not Like Us" did him great harm. Is this not the biggest defeat in hip-hop history?

This is true especially considering how good the Chiefs defense is.

Appellate lawyer mini-vacation is just a Brief Retreat.

Two easy drives by Mahonnes. Offense better score some points today

This Kendrick album is pretty dope. I definitely like it better than the last.

Project 2025 is the basic blueprint for the second Trump administration, exactly as everyone (including its authors) always said it was. Trump got his hardcore base to enthusiastically parrot his lies disavowing it because deep down, many of them see themselves "in on" the scam.

4 by a mile

listen, this opinion is more than 60 pages and it is *non-sense* judge acknowledges that DOL has the power to control the exemption but buys the argument that increasing the income threshold "displaces" the other elements of the test (it does not). honestly wild how little sense this makes. 1/

Finally, I'll say: It’s an unenviable position to decide whether to fight for one’s dignity and be dismissed as a distraction feeding the opposition’s narrative, or to say, "I’m not going to take the bait," and choose otherwise. Whatever one chooses, let’s be clear: it’s not a costless choice.

The Only Bluesky Tip You Need to Know: Liking a post doesn't really do much, other than letting the poster know you liked it. Reposting ("retweet") actually shares the post with your followers. No algorithm, remember?

In 2020 Cheri Beasley lost her race for Chief Justice by 401 votes. Looks like we will have a similiar margin in this year's Supreme Court race. Riggs currently up 66 votes.

1/ The GOP has been declared the victor in 218 House races, the Dems have won 212 races and 5 races are left to be called: AK-AL, CA-13, CA-45, IA-1 & OH-9. There is a reasonable likelihood that the Dems will win up to 4 of the uncalled races, which could but them up to 216 seats. The twist is . .

Elon pumping multiple messages of misinformation and Trump prop every hour to 200 million followers. What could we expect to happen?

The question no pundit demanding wholesale change of Dem politics has been able to answer:

Despite other needs...I wouldn't mind the Panthers drafting him. Tet, XL and Coker feeding families.

HUGE news - last night, the outcomes of two extremely narrow races in North Carolina flipped when all valid absentee and provisional ballots were counted, with major implications. Both the NC Supreme Court race and Senate District 18 flipped from counting provisional ballots. #northcarolina

...and Senate District 18 which was uncalled just moved to Terence Everitt(D) going up by a 234 votes after being down on election day.

So it looks like Justice Riggs might take a small lead in her race here in North Carolina. We may seriously have some of the most interesting elections in the whole country.

Has Trump named a Treasury Secretary?

‘No, Secretary Kennedy, cocaine and bear meat will not be part of the school lunch program…I don’t care who your uncle was, Sir…’

It's amazing how the Commanders found good use for Jeremy Chinn.

Is Rubio going to be the most reasonable Trump appointee?

Don't worry about the numbers/followers/impressions Just do the work Build

Does she run again in 26?

Will Matt Gaetz be the first cabinet nominee to plead the fifth during his confirmation hearing?

Definitely had the new recipe today and I'm unsure if I like it.

Well I'm fucked.

Really hoping this place replaces a certain social site

Welp. Change is afoot
