I think that the butt-rape was the perfect place for 'The Brutalist' to end on! The credits could've rolled over an unbroken take of the scene with squelching and cracking sound effects and Aqua's 'Roses Are Red' playing. The film was a slog so it may as well have ended on a fun note.
