I appreciate folks who are in the P&C. But getting emails about donating to the tax-deductible building fund for a public school absolutely infuriates me. This is what inequality looks like. Public Schools in lower socioeconomic areas don’t have building funds, private schools have pools and more.

Just remember that we are totally dependent on the U.S. over the F-35: it even uploads telemetry of everything WE do in it to the U.S. in real time. In the unlikely event it doesn’t contain a kill switch, we can’t maintain it without their help. This is a vassal capability, not a sovereign one.

The Woodside decision "should be a matter of an open royal commission-style inquiry with a wide, not a confined, ambit. I am not sure that I would trust the National Anti-Corruption Commission to do it. They don’t seem to know, or want to know, how to do such things." Amen to that.
