Little late with my January wrap up, been in a LC crash the past couple of weeks. It's been a Scotland/Jacobite themed historical fiction mood apparently this month. Highlights were Jasper Fforde & Kate Foster. February has started with non-fiction in the form of David Mitchell's Unruly #BookSky 💙📚

Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot is apparently afoot with Sarah Michelle Gellar, what are we all thinking? Im not usually one for a remake, but I'm surprised to find myself excited by this plan

Anyone else discovered the magiclal surreal delight that is One Hundred Years of Solitude on Netflix yet or just me? I literally fell upon it, and I'm really enjoying it 6 episodes in, but haven't heard anything about it anywhere. Always been tempted by the book but it seems to be a love/hate thing

"I'm meeeeelllllting", the snow cried to me, so I decided to go for a little local walk before it all disappears. No snowdrops yet, but a few robins said hello

Snow has fallen in Derbyshire over night, tempted by a winter walk but the reality is a coffee and a great book and enjoying the window view, whilst awaiting my boys arrival home after the weekend spent at their Dads. Plan is to get them both settled into a routine before school starts tomorrow

Started re-reading Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde as I've finally got my hands on the follow up, Red Side Story, that I've been waiting an age for (I read it around the time of my sons birth, and he's 13 in January 😩). So excited, I've been waiting for the perfect time and mood to begin #BookSky💙📚

If I'm honest I'm sick of being strong, strong in the face of everything, isnt she so strong, I wish I was as strong as you, how do you get so strong? I'm not doing that anymore, I'm finishing soft, and simple and peaceful if I can help it, and if that comes with fireplace toast, then let it come

The food and drink was to die for, Yorkshire tapas in Valhalla, coffee and tea in Impossible, and a chocolate shot in a chocolate cup in Monk Bar on the Shambles

Love all of the kooky unique little shops in York, its an alternative gal heaven, here's a few snaps from shops and coffee shops

Belated day trip to York with a friend, as we were too poorly to make the Christmas Markets earlier this month. Beautiful city, architecture and sights, one of my favourite places, and the mist gave it a little extra spook
