The SNL 50th was really well done. Every skit was good-great (except that Pete Davidson one). Didn’t love all the musical performances, but Carpenter/Simon collab was awesome. All of the nostalgia fit in naturally and didn’t feel overdone.

FUN FACT: After The Source moved to New York in 1990, in Boston a new Rap publication inspired by their success begins publishing in the early ‘90s. The editor Gadget gets so sick of transcribing full interviews from rappers, he shortens this phrase to “YKWIS” in print… In Boston we’d say “Yikwis?”

This is what happens when you give lazy people those types of jobs. I watched it happen with the music industry. Execs kids were given A&R jobs, they’d ball out in the clubs every night and write it off as research. When it came time to sign acts they’d just grab whoever had the most followers.
