It is with deep regret that we will have to cancel the public tours that were planned for 5th and 6th April. Ticket holders will be contacted directly. Sorry.

The very rare pasqueflower is in full bloom on Therfield Heath, so if you are visiting the cave over the next few weeks, a walk to Church Hill is recommended !

Why not combine your visit to the cave with our annual May Fayre and make a day of it ! #familydaysout

This carving is thought to be a representation of Saint George. To celebrate his feast day the cave will be open for a special mid week tour on 23rd April. Please book online www.roystoncave.co.uk/events

Tickets are selling well for our first weekend of public tours. Secure yours by buying online via our website. Ticket prices have frozen from last year so even more reason to make 2025 the time to visit !

There are many carvings of hearts within the cave. The shape we recognise today began to be seen in the 14th century, and is thought to be a variation of foliage which was originally used to symbolise fertility. Happy Valentines from Royston Cave ❤️

Tickets for our 2025 public season are now on sale ! Visit Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays between 5th April and 28th Sept. Book online to guarantee entry. www.roystoncave.co.uk/visit

Watch us on BBC Look East tonight at 6:30pm as we spread the word about the guide vacancies at the cave !

As this diagram shows, the cave isn't accessible to all. We can therefore bring the cave to you! Our talks include a 3D image of the cave, and we can bring the equipment needed to your group or society. Please check our website for more details.

We are hiring ! If you love history, have great communication skills and love meeting interesting people then why not apply ? See our website for more details www.roystoncave.co.uk/about

My favourite tours of the year ! Looking forward to meeting our visitors this weekend. 🎅

Repairs in the cave are all complete, so now its time to start decorating, lets get ready for Christmas ! #welding #festivefun

Time to clear the grille vent that covers the hole that leads to the apex of the cave. This was not the original entrance but the place where the crown was damaged in the past. It now allows airflow into the cave. #gettingreadyforchristmas #glamourouswork

Our Christmas tours on 7th Dec have sold out, there are just 4 tickets left for 8th Dec, so book soon to avoid disappointment !

This is a great photo which shows how the cave is situated, I am sure many locals walk over it every day without realising !

This is St Katherine and is carved on the wall of the cave. Join our public tours on her feast day, 25th Nov, and find out more about this saint, the other carvings and the mystery of Royston Cave ! #stkatherine #knightstemplar #freemasons #caves
