Going to Taipei for #Rightscon? Don't miss Psst... co-founder, Jennifer Gibson, speaking on Tuesday!

Psst...federal workers have a voice, but their regular channels for reporting have broken down! Our advice to corp whistleblowers now applies to fed workers: no comms/docs on work devices, use E2E email, Signal, even Tor Browser. Need help pro bono? Psst.org/safe www.nytimes.com/2025/02/22/u...

after hearing from several of you last night, i think i have a general structure for this. it's subject to change based on feedback, but if you're a current, fired, or currently-being-litigated federal worker, i want to hear from you. here are the details.

Hello friends! Since I launched, I've helped people delete 17.73M tweets, 6.59M retweets, and 4.98M likes.

Free Press violation alert: 1) Local paper prints editorial calling out city for not alerting the press about a critical meeting to discuss a tax increase. 2) City asks a court for a TRO forcing the paper to take down the editorial. 3) Order forces paper to take down editorial.

Federal workers be safe. You have the right to warn the public, but you need to know that established means for reporting wrongdoing have broken down.

The erosion of the free press is alarming. What red lines do we, as a society, not cross when it comes to preserving the 1A protections for a free press?

Psst…calling government and tech workers, we are making it possible for you to speak out without going full whistleblower. Safe, collective, legal support. (On a personal note, as a J-school alum, proud to be profiled in CJR!)

Here for all your “wrongdoing and mayhem” needs 🔦✌🏼 We’re profiled today in @columjournreview.bsky.social / @meghnadbose.bsky.social Read—and please share!—so people seeing something know there’s a place to get protection as they say something. www.cjr.org/politics/whi...

We are the Whisper Network. :-) As Meghnad Bose, @columjournreview.bsky.social, writes: "Enter Psst.org - a homophonically named nonprofit providing a secure depository for government employees and technology workers to share concerns about wrongdoing or mayhem." www.cjr.org/politics/whi...

This.

Incredible account of the lives of federal workers today. So important to keep safe and keep reporting on what's happening from the inside. For workers who need legal advice, we are providing it pro bono through our Safe: psst.org/safe

Insane disregard for security. It's not safe to whistleblow within old federal channels. Fed workers need to seek independent and very secure tools to report wrongdoing. Don't use your work computer. Consider a Tor Browser. psst.org/safe is an option (nonpartisan, secure, privileged legal help).

This tells you all you need to know if you are a civil servant thinking of reporting on wrongdoing. Do NOT do it within the normal channels. Do not use your work computer. We created our encrypted Safe (psst.org/safe) with TOP security engineers & lawyers who will keep you safe. Use it.

When you said you want to be transparent, is this what you meant? So sad you almost have to laugh. But security really is so important, and this is an utter disregard for it. This is a warning to federal whistleblowers thinking of reporting on abuses - find safe means outside of govt to do so!

In 2010, as part of Dodd-Frank, whistleblowers who shed light on bribery and corruption received protections under the FCPA. The systems for whistleblowing in the US govt are breaking down. Be aware. Psst.org/safe

This was OGE.gov this morning, mere hours after Trump removed its director. Government workers may be (correctly) feeling like their normal reporting channels are no longer functional or safe. Looking for a secure, independent channel to deposit information? ➡️ Psst.org

This. It is not safe to put information into this form. It is essential for government leaders to protect whistleblowers - this does not do that.

Wow - this is so good to see. Marc taught so many kids the love of history at Anglo American School in Moscow, including my kids. Chef's kiss, Marc.

Time for civil servants to learn how to whistleblow like corporate whistleblowers: carefully, securely, collectively, with lots of support.

Whistleblowers + IG shine light on corruption. As current administration eliminates IGs and scares remaining fed workers, Congress and the public need alternative, independent (and nonpartisan) means for getting information. Psst...that's what we do. Psst.org/safe

Accdg to Wikipedia, the Office of Government Ethics (which now has no website) establishes the standards of conduct for the executive branch, issues rules/regs for interpreting the criminal conflict of interest restrictions, and more good oversight stuff. Psst...work there? psst.org/safe

Such a great recap of an amazing performance.

We are here for any employees and with end to end legal privilege to keep them safe: www.psst.org/safe

A very good question, there is no info on security measures. Make sure you are safe, first. Our Safe @ Psst.org/safe was developed by engineers who created SecureDrop and worked on Signal. It is E2E and contact is privileged with a trained lawyer. Signal and Protonmail also options.

Work at Google and concerned about this development? You can safely deposit your in our Safe and request a consultation to discuss next steps, or wait to see if others have the same concern for collective action: Psst.org/safe

Important to celebrate (and pay for!) really great journalism.
