Play-In-Progress: Ys X, chapter 6. It is "fine" right now, keeps me motivated. But boy did they bloat the game. Dana and Monstrum Nox were swift, evade-based games with a great story, Nordics is system upon system upon system with great characters, great music, a meh story and a convoluted gameplay.

I'm not trying to smooth talk, but Thomas does a really good job especially writing about RPGs and the like. If you can speak German, the M! games is a great read. It can also be purchased digitally, so no need to go to a Kiosk in a German speaking country :D

This really shows much of what I dislike on this game. Squished sprites. Enemies that just move around by some pixels. Attack animations that are just the static sprite two times mirrored. Random attacks without any logic behaviour by the enemies. Aaah!
