He nails it.

President Trump’s purge at the Pentagon is a major step toward creating an officer corps personally and absolutely loyal to him, @radiofreetom.bsky.social writes. theatln.tc/3oq1fmSh

Donald Trump has once again taken an unjustifiable action by firing General CQ Brown, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. General Brown is a dedicated, effective, and highly respected leader—this move only creates more chaos and confusion and weakens our national security at a critical time.

Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. C.Q. Brown’s accomplishments include leading a more effective air strategy to defeat ISIS. Trump fired him. You know why. Hegseth said it in his book. Brown will be replaced by a less-qualified, retired white guy. #CQBrown #andjusticeforall www.npr.org/2025/02/21/n...

Last night's Pentagon massacre is much more than realized. Not just firing the black CJCS and first woman CNO but all the senior JAG officers and hiring a man who just joined 3 different crypto firms tied to Kushner and Thiel as Chairman. I did a deep dive into it open.substack.com/pub/fpwellma...

I want to see city halls full of rumpled retired people ready to skeletonize a recalcitrant congressperson in 30 seconds, all across America

VICE: 'COVID Killed So Many Americans That Social Security Shot Up $205 Billion' 'The study also bleakly hints that people dealing with long COVID are likely going to have to drop out of the workforce eventually...' www.vice.com/en/article/c...

Everyone should know that Social Security is massively efficient. It's the most efficient program we have. Its overhead is only 0.5%. Cutting Social Security staff will do nothing to improve that and only result in problems with people getting the payments they are legally owed.

“You know Social Security is wrong, you know Medicaid and Medicare are wrong. So [Musk]’s gonna cut a trillion and we’re gonna get rid of all these tax scams that hammer against America and we’re gonna raise a trillion dollars of revenue.” - Commerce Sec Howard Lutnick Huh? How is this "revenue"?

New: Elon Musk’s team has descended on an already understaffed Social Security Administration, which now faces further workforce cuts and closures of vital local offices. The consequences could be significant for millions of the most vulnerable Americans. www.propublica.org/article/doge...

Khalid Majzoub examines claims made by and about the US Department of Government Efficiency.

This seems a particularly apt metaphor.

It's genuinely unfortunate that Republicans didn't show up to hear the concerns of Wisconsin farmers who are very worried about what Trump & Elon cutting their federal funding & contracts could mean for their livelihoods and the future of their family farms.

Donald Trump ran on lowering costs for working people. Yet last night, Senate Republicans passed a budget blueprint that sets the stage to deliver huge tax cuts for billionaires at the expense of everyone else. It's the Great Betrayal and the American people won't stand for it.

This is happening because Elon Musk tweeted to kill the December funding bill & all the bipartisan health policies Congress negotiated fell apart. Expanding telehealth brings DOWN costs. It makes health care MORE efficient, and it’s SO important for rural patients.

Call it the Musk-Trump Veteran Firing Program. Nearly a third of the federal workers are veterans, and the figure is much higher at DoD. Musk and Trump are going to fire tens of thousands of American veterans, on top of the thousands they already fired. “Thank you for your service, you’re fired.”

Once again: it's because his goal is to subsidize the oil industry and is hostile to markets. He will always put energy producers over energy consumers. He hates you.

🚨 Over the last week, over 500 worried constituents contacted me to share their stories and pain due to federal firings. Communities like Carlsbad, Grants, Socorro, and others are losing hundreds of jobs. DOGE’s unchecked power is hurting New Mexico and our nation.

How does firing Americans help make America great again? Cutting 5-8% of the workers is unproductive and harmful to our economy and society. This is just simply reckless and unsustainable. www.cnn.com/2025/02/21/p...

When will DOGE be eliminating Trump's extremely costly weekly vacations? 😠

“For our entire lives, they have told us we have no choice ... February 28, the 24-hour economic blackout: no Amazon, no Walmart, no fast food, no gas, not a single unnecessary dollar spent ... for one day, we are going to finally turn the tables.” - @theonecalledjai.bsky.social

Get arrested preventing DOGE goons from entering public buildings, get arrested going into public buildings to find out what DOGE goons are doing, get arrested on the floor during confirmation votes to protest the rubber stamping of unqualified candidates

Here's our statement about the Associated Press lawsuit. Tl;dr: Godspeed! knightcolumbia.org/content/excl...

this is how it's done

"The courts have provided some temporary reprieve, but a lasting solution requires Congressional intervention. Congress must act swiftly to protect USAID and its workforce from the administration's reckless actions."

Those data points are not all created equal. Every vote is not a mild, fungible "yes" or "no." The pro votes are trending down, which shows they're wavering. The "no" votes, on the other hand, might as well be forged in Vibranium by the hammer of Thor.

Teachers teach. We need a leaderful movement, and there are leaders all around us.

I’m telling you @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social, please watch this. This is the energy. Not egg prices and book tours and strongly worded letters. It’s time to take the gloves off.

"As we navigate the sheer quantity of hate and unconstitutional extremism found within these orders, it’s essential we not let this blitzkrieg distract or deter us." - Keith Thirion

"How do regimes manage to impose minority rule on enormous populations? By getting the majority to give up. Don’t do that."

Mills has said before that Maine will not follow federal orders regarding trans kids in schools, but seeing her say it to his face actually gives me hope that my community won't be simply thrown under the bus here in the face of vacant threats.

The governor of Maine is a 77-year-old in the middle of her second term in office and therefore ineligible to run for a third. But King Trump here tries to intimidate her by saying she'll have no future career in politics if she dares to stand up to him. I think she's all good, man.

Just so everybody is clear on Republican priorities: We put up an amendment to make sure nobody making over $500 million gets a tax cut. Republicans voted against it.

Translation: That’s a nice country you’ve got there. Would be a shame if something happened to it.

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

Pay no attention to Steve Bannon dusty ass! He’s just another distraction.

Nazi salutes are having a moment. Our critic weighs in. Steve Bannon’s offered precise form worthy of 1930s Germany, but Elon Musk’s honored the drug-fueled mania of the original Nazis.
