Today's #DailyAntiFascJam reminds us that the US can be beautiful and glorious, but "Yet she's only as rich as the poorest of the poor Only as free as a padlocked prison door" Spotify: open.spotify.com/track/1VHlgs... YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUO5...

see what you need to understand is that they’re coming hard at california bc if they can take us down then it tells the smaller states there’s no point in fighting. we’re the bellwether. that’s why it’s so important we stop this shit NOW.

The Glacial Errata newsletter from @colindickey.com today is great I try to read every time. Short and packed glacialerrata.beehiiv.com/p/glacial-er...

"Science Shattered". I confess that even I was unaware of the statement that opens this piece: "The National Institutes of Health is responsible for more than 80% of the world’s grant investment in biomedical research." 🧪 projects.propublica.org/nih-cuts-res...

You can't call immigrants lazy moochers looking for government handouts and then round them up at Home Depots where you know they are looking for work. You can't say immigrants don't follow the rules and then round them up in courthouses where they are following the rules. Get your lies straight.

🚨 BREAKING 🚨 As you know, SEIU-USWW President David Huerta was assaulted, injured and detained by ICE while advocating for immigrant workers. He remains in custody. 👉 There are now #FreeDavidEndRaids events popping up across the country!! Find an event here: bit.ly/FreeDavidEndRaids Pass it on!

In the last 20 or so minutes I’ve seen LAPD officers shove women to the ground without provocation, rip a sign out of a man’s hand and then swing a baton into his leg and raise a less-lethal launcher to aim directly at a protester (which I’m 99% is a major policy violation.)

Didn’t expect this from Scientific American but here we are. (Article from 2020 but everything still relevant including COVID precautions)

Just remembering how much I like this Ken Watanabe moment from the 2014 film Godzilla for no particular reason today.

I'm biased, but this report is a must-read for anyone looking to understand the state of AI in 2025. It explains how AI is entrenching power for big tech and the oligarch class, speeding deregulation, dislodging human expertise and threatening workers—and how there's still time to refuse all that.

A few days after Business Insider laid off 21% of their staff and went "all-in on AI," the news content farm is running an article about AI taking human jobs. Irony is one thing genAI will never be able to recognize. www.businessinsider.com/ai-hiring-wh...

"Tell us how we did" now hits my inbox after everything from buying some ice cube trays online to getting a colonoscopy. Trust me, if I had an opinion, you'd have heard it already. Just get on with your damn day.

The price for "Crooked Curse" — book 1 of this fun paranormal cozy series set on the Oregon Coast — goes back up on Monday. You can still get it for free through the weekend!

Sorta like how the invention of vaults hurt the bank robbery business.

These SpaceX failures are being financed by taxpayer dollars. So far, over $7,000,000,000. So this is *actual* government waste, unlike the *alleged* waste at Social Security that DOGE was unable to find.

That's the plan. Great. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
