My favorite Senator, Whitehouse, just took Chair of the Sen. Judiciary Comm, Senator Grassley, to the proverbial 'woodshed', for allowing witnesses to claim privilege(s) in response to (judiciary) hearing questions. Bove was allowed to disregard questions. Grassley violated Senate committee rules.

My son and I were trying to count the number of well-known members of the Democratic party who have decided to leave - disheartened, disappointed, and confused (about where we're going as a party). We started with former press Secretary Jean-Pierre. Reid is thinking about it... Wake up call!!!

I didn't follow the NYC mayoral campaigns closely. We (Democrats) don't have any 'leaders' of any consequence, but the few we have are certainly quaking in their boots - they picked the "wrong horse". I love it - Mamdani won decidedly, it appears.

Yesterday's deportation ruling will go down as the most anti-democratic ruling by our Supreme Court - 14th Amend. due process is gone - writ of habeas corpus and related amendments, 4th, 5th & 6th, gone with a stroke of a 'vile' pen. Our democracy means nothing without due process. Sad day for my...

MSNBC is on a 'short leash', on 'borrowed time' - you pick the analogy or metaphor - but Michael Steele and his word salads really have to go. Alicia Menendez should be doing that show and Alex Wagner should be back to replace Ms. personality, Jen Psaki.

It's June 23rd. Everything is a bit late up here at 9200 ft elev Indian Paint Brush and my favorite dessert, wild rose petals. While out fixing fences Grampo would send me to find rose petals to eat with our tortilla and egg sandwiches for lunch. An occasional orange was a treat. I cherish my youth.

All the acequias (ditches) were clean and water from the surrounding Taos mountains was flowing - flood irrigating the alfalfa fields was priority. This is what I was doing 70 years ago on our NM ranch. I'm now concerned about my grandsons - lives that are now affected by policies of a mentally ill

Other than the 'sensational' news that Hogg had been voted out of leadership, I've not read 'anything' about the Democrats' plans to become a political party again or plans to take the House (and maybe the Senate) in the next mid-term elections. We have no real leadership in either chamber.

My U.S. Representative, Neguse, is going to introduce a bill to "End Corruption Now". Well, that ought to have the Republicans in Congress quaking in their boots. Why doesn't he grow a pair and join AOC or Bernie and actually do "something". He is part of the House leadership that is doing nothing!!

I forced myself to listen to a panel discussion during which Kristi Noem asserted that the "Trump Administration will bring back respect for the Constitution and upholding rule and law." Why is it difficult for some read and then misinterpret the Constitution. Her vulgarity of lies is worse than Tru

A friend bet me a new saddle that I couldn't grow these lilacs at 9200 ft. elevation where I live. He said I'd have to wait a bit for my saddle. I have 5 beautiful bushes that I planted last year. Wasn't sure they'd make it through our harsh winter - particularly harsh this past winter. All bloomed.

Should I be reading Foreign Affairs, the New York Times, Politico, Yuval Noah Harari, Ta-Nehisi Coates or maybe even Richard Feynman's lectures? Anything - except a rereading of Lucretius? Will this enlighten me about Trump's cognition and where he's leading us?

I lead an isolated life (of sorts) up in the mountains of Colorado. But even up here we get distressed - we hear 'nothing' about how the Democratic party is going to save itself. "Who's driving the train?" Do we even have a train? Schumer and Jefferies are not fit to run this party. I'm nervous.
